Has anyone been banned without playing a COD game? Seems like Treyarch learned their lesson with mw2 and specifically with the original black ops since that's when cfw was blossoming. They surely have a system in place that detects an invalid checksum and sends that report to Sony.

I see people getting banned one after the other...and it's the same result...cod got them banned. Play it on PC, much better experience, and controls. This crap isn't worth getting banned over. At the moment there's no clear cut way to unban without breaking the law. Maybe when the bans start increasing in large numbers but atm it's all pretty unknown...the only thing everyone will tell you is stay away from psn but if that's your only ps3 then stay away from COD.

ok i have a question.... if ur ps3 acc is banned you will b able to still sign in on psn web page in ur pc ?? or it also shows as blocked there ??

i just tried signing today & it is saying someting like "YOU HAVE LOST CONNECTION TO YOUR PSN & WONT B ABLE TO CONNECT TO PSN UNLESS YOU SIGN BACK IN"

if u received an email from sony, then ure officially banned, if not, try logging to SEN from pc, when banned, sony will mail you about it

I played Blops 1 Cheats no
I also played Mw3 Cheats yes I hosted a private lobby {the profile I used got perm banned aswell} for friends,I never joined public games.
100% Mw3 caused it,so I deserved it a bummer yeah but no big deal.

Still not banned. Currently playing far cry 3, but also played playstation all stars/ f1 racing stars/ sonic racing/ need for speed most wanted..........all are copies and all were played online. I have also been on psn store several times and even downloaded content that was already purchased from my account on my other system.

I am on E3 4.30

ok this is confusing me now...... no emails recieved on any email....

i had 2 accounts on my ps3 one for my brother, he plays cod: mw3 online without cheats, cod:bo2 offline he says it always says server not found wen he opens the game...... & i play only dragons dogma online with my account....

& i cant login my brothers account on website or even recover his password (msg: An error has occurred while changing the password. If the problem persists, please contact Customer Service.).....

but i can login my account on website..... what does this means ?? does it means his account banned & my ps3 bcoz of his account ??

How is that great news? If only your account would get banned, you could just make another one, but with console..you can't do anything.
