hi all, as you can see i am new to ps3 hax.. but i just sold my cechc03 4.21 ps3 and got a ps3 cechc03 3.55. and i have kmeaw's 3.55cfw with both rogero and multiman back up managers as i am testing them both out. i play all the sega and snes roms but cant get any new ps3 back ups to run. i have read up n tried many differnt ways but no luck. i plan to install linux in a few weeks aswell...

questions..

would it be easier for me to play the latest games on a bm or latest cfw?

if i update with cfw will i still be able to downgrade if i dont like it as my ps3 can not downgrade ofw?

and whats the general pros and cons to using bm to cfw?

A CFW is required/recommended to use any backup manager these days. Way back when people ran BM's on 3.41 OFW but now you need a CFW

ok thanks for the reply... i am allready on kmeaw 3.55cfw and i have both multiman and rogero bm's but it wont let me play the lastest games unless i am on 4.21 or something like that... does this mean i need a 4.21cfw? and my ps3 is not downgradeable does that go for cfw aswell as ofw?

Use the tutorials and upgrade to 4.21 REX or Rogero's 4.30. im on REX and everything i have works fine.

ok i have no poblems upgrading or applying software.. but when i search google or any forum about downgrading cfw it comes up with downgrading the standard ofw i no that is not downgradeable but if i upgrade with cfw is that downgradeable or is that treated as the same as the ofw n will need e3 flasher or something??

You won't need a flasher, just use the tutorials on ps3 Hax or tortuga cove to upgrade to Rebug 4.21 or Rogero 4.30.

Just read itskamals tutorials, all the info you need is right there

ok thanks for the advice just wanted to no that i can go back to 3.55 if i needed to without flashing.
