hi all i just revived my E3 Flasher Limited edition kit + E3 Card reader and Prankster AVR reprogrammed as the ecliPS3 Downgrade dongle.

still waiting on my breadboard jumper wires to arrive so i can solder on the E3 linker.

just spent 3 hours disabling and reassembling my PS3 as a practice run.

hare are some pics:
https://www.icloud.com/photostream/#A3GWZuqDGmXx4P

i never knew that the pin's are so small and the E3 Linker is tiny + the pins to solder on are even smaller...

This PS3 slim strip down in this guide was Da Best!

but my PS3 had a few different connections like a ribbon cable connecting to the motherboard in a socket.

the blue-ray drive was the most difficult as there was a short ribbon cable underneath it. and pluging that back in was a pain!!

very strange.
what firmware is it on?
can you update it to a higher firmware and dump again and see if you get different sizes.

the fact it validates says its ok but the dump sizes say its not.

it may be best asking on irc just to make sure. or @master737373 may be able to give more insite.
can you upload the dump then if master comes in he can take alook at it.

Ok, I tried downgrading on a DYN-001 board and got as far as trying to flash the downgrade.bin, but as I pressed "start" I got the 01001100 error and now my ps3 has YLOD symtoms(green light on power up,flash yellow, then blink red).
Does this mean that the board has overheated or I have put too much pressure on the chip or is it that the e3 flasher may have corrupted the NOR as it wasn't seated properly?
I have still to try soldering the tristate or is it worth my while?

if it gave the eror right away then it might not have wrote anything.
remove the clip and see if the ps3 will boot.

Ya, I removed the clip, still the same(YLOD), I even put the ps3 back together without e3 flasher but its still not booting.
Do you think I should try soldering the tristate or not?
