Wii U And The Price Differences
When any console gets released, the console and games are usually cheaper in US and Japan than they are in UK/EU, so how does the Wii U Fair ?
Console Wii U White US - $299.99 = £187.26 Wii U Black US - $349.99 = £218.48 Wii U White UK - £249.97 = $400.59 Wii U Black UK - £299.97 = $480.64 Games US New Super Mario Bros. U - $59.99 = £37.45 ZombiU - $59.99 = £37.45 Call of Duty: Black Ops II - $59.99 = £37.45 Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition - $59.99 = £37.45 Assassin's Creed III - $59.99 = £37.45 UK New Super Mario Bros. U - £44.97 = $72.01 ZombiU - the sites lists it at £0.00 Call of Duty: Black Ops II - £54.97 = $88.02 Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition - Not Listed. Assassin's Creed III - £49.97 = $80.00 Prices come from Gamestops US and UK stores and conversion was done with XE So no shock that people in UK regions get ripped off. |

Does anybody know what they're costing in Australia? I'm moving there very soon and I have a double conundrum. If they're cheaper here then I might as well buy one here. But I'm screwed if I buy one here and they're region locked because then I'll have to pay extra to order NTSC games from there.

If they were racist presumably the black one would be cheaper? I don't know as I have never heard the race card pulled on a console before.

Prices in dollars are also almost the same as in euro's.... I paid 59,95 euro for BO-II...

It's always been that way, EU prices are way higher than US prices. The companies claim it to be due to EU taxes and transport, but then all the consoles are shipped from China anyway.
Fact is the EU is a larger gaming market than the US yet they are making us pay more! Now that's appreciation for ya! I said I wasnt going to buy $ony products, but I think I would be buying any more consoles either, just stick with my pc
