I'm sorry, but this sounds completely like BS to me.. I don't see Sony putting out a new console without real next gen graphics, just like MS will with their new xbox.. otherwise I see Sony loosing out to MS on more than one level..

the next big step in graphics will be photorealism but the rest of the hardware isnt there yet. there is only so much they can accomplish in console form.

How much are two transparent AMOLEDs going to cost? There aren't any in commercial products at the moment, so what does that tell us? If you thought the Wii U GamePad was a pricey peripheral, just wait until you have to drop £200+ on a replacement PS4 headset. I know they're working with Panasonic to get the costs down, but I can't see this being true at all.

Yea but the oculus is different. Its the closest thing to VR according to many reviewers. You're immersed in the game. Available HMD look as if you're looking at a screen far away. The oculus has 3D and you actually feel as if you're in the game. You should search on YouTube for oculus videos which have interviews with epic games the Creator of doom valve etc. When I saw the reviews I was amazed and they already raised $2.5 million on kickstarter in a few months. You can purchase a dev kit for $300 and it comes with an sdk with unreal 3 oculus compatible Doom BFG and the first Oculus ready title Hawken comes out 12-12-12. I'm really thinking about jumping in but I am no developer so if I do buy it I will play it for a bit and donate it to a dev so they can possibly make world's/homebrew games maybe even kinect integration or whatever they come up with. PC is already there (well, almost.) You just need to spend $2,000+ to build a PC. Once you have a godly PC, run well-known games with crazy mods and there you go. I had built my PC back in early 2011 and overclocked the **** out of everything, and then I played Crysis (the 2007 game?) with graphic mods, the graphics were really godly.

PS4, Xbox 4, whatever... won't be the same as PC in terms of graphics and core speeds. Basically, if you want something cheaper and also 3d, go for PS4 / Xbox. If you want much better graphics and willing to spend a lot more money, go for PC.

I wont Even Bother Paying for another $ONY product as the way they have treated their customers. Their so worried about their SSS they removed other OS and will continue removing stuff i can already see cloud gamming an excuse for them to tell us we only will rent right to use the game/console ect..
so why would anyone that actually bought a $ONY product with the great treatment they have giving us.

Well, If they release something that I want to play, I'll buy it. I've never bought a game console thinking about who manufactured.

What I mean: I have not bought an xbox360: I bought a device that allowed me to play Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon and Bayonetta. I could say the same about PS3 (GOW, Uncharted, Super Stardust) , PSP (Ultimate GNG, Crysis Core) or any other console.

After all, some people still buy videogames because of the games
