Can anyone confirm this works from original disc please?

If I have followed properly...

Remove all homebrew from xmb except MM. (what about install packages?)
delete all BLOPS2 related files from locations pointed out.
Remove any game data files that were 3.55> modded to work
start game select -x
remove MM

If I simply do all of the above and start the game in the blu ray drive without MM installed it will work?

Those of you who have had to restart..

Are you then having to reinstall MM to start the game again, or did you leave last game on the xmb?

Just to point out, Im asking if I can run it from disc because i think you have to have only blops on the ext hdd for it to work, or is that not true?

Sorry, Ive read the first post again, seems it will work from disk ok

Ok first off all; i,ve read some parts of the DMCA and their stupid tos and..... Well, I'm sorry, I thought that we didn't simply accept them to f*** us from behind but yeah.....
The only question is, why is/was it legal to jailbreak the iphone(according to the dmca)? And i also have to say that u can say whatever u want about apple, but they are a lot more "human" in these situations.

So now back to topic, is there someone who can include the 1.03 update in the xmblaunched(fix-eboot) without gettimg any errors? Cause that way we can switch to usb mode and open it without manager.

Is there someone who can run a debugger meanwhile you connect to psn in the game? Or won't it work? (I'm an iphone developer(tweaker) and dont know a lot about ps3 stuff still haha)

I can confirm the original disc works. I used a spare HDD I had. So I have a fresh format.
I used multiman to download the 1.03 update. Then deleted mm and launched the game from original disc.

I am sure it will work without formating like stated already in this thread.

Why would you want to debug the ps3 ?? (you could use dex or even rebug for that)

what your trying to explain is packet sniffing as everything has to be done via some form of communication with treyarchs server

Example:

You log on (ps3 using your internet connection connects to there server)
There servers authorise your system ( there server sends data to you that requires a reply)
You then reply using your ps3's INTERNET ( with a list of stuff they dont allow)
there server then redirects you to no where ( meaning you get server errors)

if you remove what they dont allow you get the correct redirection and are able to connect.

The reason most main accounts aint working are because they indeed banned you but not the banned your used to with the "You have been banned message" they simply added you to a black list forcing you to redirect permanently.

My guess is alot of mains where on before release day ect or had hacks/fixs that they deemed severe.

ive a main thats perma redirected but ive also had 4 other accounts 1 new 3 old that are all able to connect my main was used for my original testing where as the other 4 have been on and off pretty much from 1 day after official release

ive also been using the new account using @Rautz method but using a resigned version of MM 01.10.00 (resigned using trueancestor) and playing for 2days odd without having to unistall MM every boot


their is another way of doing this but its alot of effort and the devs here wouldnt want this for just one game im 99% sure that if other game devs follow the same suit as treyarch then there might be the possibility of the whole scene getting on this but i highly doubt it as we have a workaround atm

the way im talking about if your wondering is repathing everything to appear in a seperate folder no xmb icons no homebrew apart from 1 app located upon the users/settings menu (as im 90% sure this isnt scanned)

for this you would need coding skills to create a program similar to MM but just for the redirects

you would also need some homebrew original source to relink and hide everything (which you wont get as this is peoples work and they treasure it)

ive the same opinion on this as alot of others as im very interest in the server side checks and the potential for them to mass produce this.

atm its probably unlikely is treyarch spend **** loads of £££ other game devs aint in there boat earning 500million on launch day so potentially wouldnt be able to afford their current setup just my 2 cents

I'm still pretty sure that they aren't scanning it from their servers, it would simply demand to much power, its much more simpler to do it locally.

And why cant we simply put the whole thing in a sandbox?

I'm starting to think that its not worth it anymore,,,, at least not till other gamedevs will include it, but it much easier for them to setup a key system like fifa 13 or littlebigplanet karting....
and thats probably waterproof.....

Hmm ok, strange haha, when my sis wants to play it is asks for an online activation code to play online, the same as when you buy a game on pc. So you have to use the code u get with the retail disc.
I think that they will use that instead of this scanning idea of cod but if u can play without code, then i must have missed something.

Oh, you mean an online pass. I purchased one, but since that time the online pass was decrypted along with various pre release content.

i think i messed up. i forgot you can't reinstall multiman on 4.3 v2 so looks like i gotta downgrade back to 4.3 v1.04 so i can get multiman back. looks like i'm back to beating my head on the wall for a while
