the 12V one should be easy, for the ground, well it's everywhere. ![]() the third pin on the right (pwm) maybe the hardest one, but i think there should be a testpoint also on the board to solder a wire too. but i don't know even your board model number. EDIT: @plugbroken , i do understand that this soldering on such small traces can be a bitch, it's not for me either, so if you can't get the connector or wires soldered back or getting it repaired by others, you could always consider a fanmod, you just set it to a speed and you can solder the needed 12V to decent points. (the sprongs on the mainboard) P.S from what country are you from? Last edited by Mr.Dutch; 12-01-2012 at 01:07 PM. |

on the other side of the board there are also traces for the same points, so it should work again, but since you don't have that much experience with soldering, (even for people with experience these solder points can be too small)
it's best to have it repaired.. technically two points can even be soldered by an ape, because there's no way you can screw them up. in this case i'm talking about soldering wires, and not the connector, but the third point, need a little patient, and it's probably on the back side of the board. |

update: got myself to the computer repair shop and got fixed!!
first i go to the shop with the banner phone+computer+xbox360+ps3, i tell him if it could be solder back he checked and said no i even tells him the way you show me solder it with the wire + i show him some pictures from ifixit the answer was still the same... then go checking around for some shops ( im going to the swap shops because the other computer repair shop close at sunday) but finally i found one and i show him that the plug need to solder back to the motherboard + i didn't tell him have to solder it with the wire either, he said ok and it will cost 20 bucks ( its kindda too much, but have to fix it...) and finally this is the pictures, this is exactly what you talking about right if you dont mind can i ask you when i have problems with E3 flash downgrade thanks![]() ![]() one more question do you know where can i put this metal on the center to where used to be? ( my model is cech-2501A)
