ok, so here's the deal. I have a 60gb ps3 in perfect working order. i got it used. there is some cosmetic issues (a chip in the casing). after disabling the internet on it and telling my ten-year-old son to NEVER EVER EVER update it if it asks for an update and to IMMEDIATELY come get me if he sees the word "update" or "upgrade" on the screen at all, he apparently thought he knew better and decided that since he's seen me do it it was ok. so i was looking to downgrade it but decided that since i never use any of the features than makes this model so sought after i would rather have a newer, smaller, quieter, and simpler model. so i am looking to trade my 4.11 60gb phat for a 3.55 slim. or at least for enough cash to get a 3.55 slim. anyone interested, let me know.

Few questions - Which SKU model is it e.g. Cech type 'xx'? How long have you had it? Is the chip in the casing the only physical issue with it? And finally are you from the UK or ship to the UK?

i want to say that it is the first SKU model. i will check and post pics when i get home, hopefully today after work, but i got a few things to do and i tend to forget. not sure exactly how long i've had it but i'd say around 5 years or so. i think there might be a few scuffs but the chip is really the only thing. i will get plenty of pics to clarify. I am not from the UK. im in the US but i would be willing to ship to the UK.

i uploaded photos and the sku is cecha01. i included photos of the chip. there is also some kind of sticker type residue i never got around to cleaning off on parts of the case.

You really think that someone would trade his 3.55 in good condition for an old phat 4.11?
I think a 4.11 slim would already be worth the double of a 4.11 phat ...

C'mon....who (on this site) is going to trade a CFW 3.55 Slim PS3, for an OFW 60Gb YLOD magnet which is covered in a 'sticky residue' and has been obviously dropped on it's corner.

Even if someone were interested in BC model that plays everything, yes the 60gb is a ylod magnet, but you could delay the obvious outcome if you took care of it.

Not to sound rude but... the condition of this ps3 based on it's looks is telling me this is going to YLOD as soon as you have it in your hands.

My fat 160gb uncharted bundle got the ylod about 2 years ago and I managed to revive it with some good arctic silver until a few weeks ago it died. I managed to get a hackable ps3 slim and I would never trade for it. I added 1TB internally with the new drives that have the same form factor as the small drives.

External 1tb on top of it. It's worth more than any phat due to it's reliability. People overemphasize it can play PS2 games, but the reality is the bad outweigh the good.

Like the others mentioned no one is going to trade a healthy system with cfw for a system that's basically on life support. You could try ebay if someone is desperate for PS2 compatibility.
