I know and I first thought this myself before ever posting here. What it fails to explain is why a backed up game already showing in XMB can be loaded directly from XMB and it shows up there. Even Rogero can load games that mM itself made but mM depends on using the app home folder. OK so far this all makes sense (it is mM and the way it is designed to work - this is the predominant consenus here). To be honest I don't mind this as it won't clutter up the game menu and I can just use Rogero or another manager to launch a game in one click.
The game showing in XMB game menu was backed up with an earlier version of mM. Just seems something does not add up here. The guy I got the console from isn't any help and I thought someone on here might have a possible explanation why I have this. I will learn to live with it, it is the not knowing why this is that I would like to solve. And of course the bdemu2 is still an issue even without this, so have yet to find another source. |

The message is not an error, it is normal and supposed to be there!!!!!!!
It has nothing to do with backup managers, It it a feature of debug firmware, and rebug is a modified debug firmware. Like I said the message is designed to be beneficial to developers, if you don't want to see the message then stop using debug firmwares or any variant thereof. |

OK. So I read different things from different people. I am told to install bdemu2 for use with mM and others say not to because it can cause serious problems and mean you need to reinstall CFW again in recovery mode to fix things. Everytime I use/exit mM I see messages about this so called none error and never used to. I understand the debugging part and its uses so I am far more inclined to agree with you, you are correct and you know you are.
It still leaves this unknown to me: I guess no one here knows why some games will show in XMB and launch from there but not newly installed ones by me. Edit: I will use another manager from now on. Seems mM deank is perm banned here now so I better get used to newer CFW becoming more stable on commercial releases and not using mM any longer or just for secondary use. http://rebug.me/debug-settings/rebug-settings Last edited by ezPeaSy3Queezy; 12-02-2012 at 10:02 AM. |

I haven't really had a cfw ps3 since July so I may have outdated info, but as far as I understand it bdemu2 is required if you want to play backups with multiman at least with older versions of MM. I have heard that newer versions do not require it but I don't know if/when the change occured.
As for games not showing in the xmb some newer versions of multiman install games into dev_hdd0/game/bles80608/usrdir/??? instead of dev_hdd0/GAMES I don't remember why deank changed that(it had something to do with folder permissions) but you may want to ensure your games are in the correct folder then they should show in xmb after mounting them with MM. EDIT: bdemu2 will not corrupt your ps3 at all, it just modifies the live memory until you restart the ps3. Last edited by butnut; 12-02-2012 at 10:40 AM. |
