It'll get better... The PS3 wasn't all that great when it came out either. It wasn't until it got the cross media chat that it was worth having... oh wait...

I always buy the first run of the new consoles for 1 reason, hacks! If for some reason it would require a mod chip instead of a soft hack the 1st run of the consoles will always be the easiest. Though they are usually the ones to have the highest failure rate though too.

That home button annoys me, within Black Ops II I almost can't quit the game back to the wii-u menu. PS3 does that a lot better....

Everyone check your Miiverse Settings. There's a setting for "allow friend requests" so people don't have to add eachother on both sides

Wii U has a Blu-ray Player but Nintendo made its own proprietary so it can't play original BD films/series. I guess Nintendo didn't want to pay Sony the full price of Blu-ray's ability.

I dunno if it's that or to save on wear and tear on the device... then again that's kind of a double edged sword too. If someone's BD drive burns out they'll either have to buy a new console or switch to a competitors console.

Got my first hard crash 5 minutes ago... messed around in Miiverse and did a shut off and the gamepad powered down but the Wii-U stayed on and wouldn't power down. Tried several thing and decided to remove the power cord and it works again like it did before

Edit: that was to early.... visited the E-shop, got an error code with the text it is in maintenance, left it and same crash.... messing with the Network Nintendo (hopefully)?
