i really dont want to share my version of multiman. mine is "spoofed" as a game i dont play, if you play that game it will conflict with your system. however. searching google you can find a game id of a game you dont use and make your own using the tools i mentioned with a click of the mouse.

there is a stealth version out of multiman by a french dev

That stealthed version by French dev uses that gundam game id, and as far as I knew his stealth mm didn't work. I could be wrong though, coulda swore Gregory posted something about it and few top. People here tried it and mm still showed in psn

That will be true. The problem is everytime you open multiman it renames itself

Only the name is changed not the game id. It seems to me that treyarch are looking for the game ids of certain homebrew. Not the game title. So changing them does make a difference. Ive been online using my multiman for 2days now. Only homebrew ive deleted is the showtime that shows on the xmb.

What happens if I switch the internal HDD in my PS3? Will I later be able to put the original one back in and have all my content or will the PS3 prompt me to format it?

I'm trying to figure out the simplest solution to get me back online in BO2.

I've used this method for over 5 days already and I am still able to get online. Just unpack any homebrew that gives the server error and change the path's folder's name then change the game id in param.sfo and repack.

What Treyarch is searching for is just the name of the game folder that Multiman or any other homebrews installs to in dev_hdd0>game. For example, having only Multiman installed = server error, having only standalone Showtime installed = Server error, and having only Toggle_QA installed = Server error. However, having only Blackbox Ftp server and Rebug Toolbox installed gave no error. These were the only ones that I tested.

I came to this conclusion because what I did was create an empty folder in dev_hdd0>game with the original game id of Multiman which is BLES80608 and had no homebrew installed and I still got the server error. After unpacking, changing folder and param game id, and repacking for the homebrews that gave me error, I can now get on with all of them installed.

exactly. this is spot on. if we could start posting what homebrew works and what doesnt we can start making "stealth" homebrew therefore not having to delete them unnecessarily

TO GET YOUR BLACK OPS 2 TO WORK, FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTORS:

1: deleted all previous black ops 2 data from internal hdd from all locations found earlier in this thread

2: read only black ops on my eternal drive. using PC

3: DOWNLOADED THIS STEALTH VERSION OF MULTIMAN.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?6a7ve30dde41jd5[/QUOTE]

4. DELETE THE OLD ONE AND USE THIS NEW ONE FROM THE LINK AND LOAD BLACK OPS 2 FROM YOUR EXTERNAL HDD (NOT FROM YOUR PS3 - IT HAS TO BE FROM A USB HDD).

CREATE A NEW PSN ACCOUNT FROM A NEW USER (THIS IS A MUST OR IT WILL NOT WORK). I TRIED TO USE MY OLD ACCOUNT AND IT DIDN'T WORK. THE NEW ONE IS WORKING FINE EVEN AFTER SWITCHING BACK AND FORTH. I HAVE ALSO DOWNLOADED BOTH DLC'S FROM DUPLEX AND NO PROBLEMS.

IF YOU FOLLOW THE STEPS, ALL WILL BE WELL. I DID NOT CREATE THESE FILES NOR THESE STEPS. I AM ONLY STATING WHAT HAS WORKED WELL FOR ME, WHAT INFORMATION I HAVE SEEN FROM THE 17 PAGES OF POST, AND I AM NOT TAKING CREDIT FOR ANYTHING. I'M STATING WHAT IS WORKING WITHOUT DELETING HOMEBREW, YOUR PS3 HARD DRIVE.

That is exactly what I did.

I have extra HDDs lying around. So I put one in my PS3 and formatted it. I can put the original back in whenever I want, and it will work fine.
