Showtime plugin - Navi-x

Hello all.

Does anyone know if the navi-x is still being developed? I am asking as I have noticed that the xbmc version has many more options that the showtime version would greatly benefit from. Such as downloading content and saving to a HD.

I have a download speed of about 1000Kb/s (speedtest) and a network at 10/1000 and find the buffering on even a small sitcom unusable, movies are almost a complete waist of time. The download feature would be great for these.

I have the latest showtime (4.1.2xx) and navi-x (1.6)
Does anyone have any hints/tips on the best sources or any other helpful info for myself or others to make this plugin work smooth.

Do you guys have similar issues with this as I do???

Thanks in advance

Mine runs vids mostly instant and smooth from wifi. My speeds are around 24,000 kb/s. Thats good i guess. If you can, id switch internet providers because 1000 kbs i dont think is much better than dial up speed or you could try connecting your ps3 directly to your modem through ethernet to see if that helps..could also try maybe getting a new router.

Yeah, Have have a cheap provider (3web a 3rd party sorta thing) I pay $40 cdn a month but get unlimited data. I guess it is throttled from as they are pretty much piggybacking off of rogers infrastructure (i am using a dsl version) which I know can provide much hire speeds.

I was hopeing for other input as well but you really have helped me confirm what I pretty much already thought.

Still a d/load option with the ps3 showtime navi-x version would be great for ppl such as myself.

Thanks for your input. Cheers!

you're using dsl...main problem. You're probably not close enough to their central office and gives you crap speed.

I'm on cable with 20Mbps and it pretty much does everything in seconds. The only problem is that navi-x on the ps3 hasn't matured enough to have all these features the original xbox has.
