Well they have f*cked the scene long enough with charging for a reDRM dongle, whose contents could be implemented into a CFW, so they should have left ODE's to 3K3Y.

Even if the 'scene' released the info for FREE on how to do this, like the Glitch'ing on the X360, you would still have to build a PCBoard, buy the parts and solder it together, and flash an asic with the code, it might be little cheaper but still would cost money.
