No, no need a hardware flasher like E3 as far as I know, some super slims cant even be downgraded with a hardware flasher. Use the search function here and you'll find more info on the matter.

It wont install on a super slim/ultra slim, and it wont install on OFW above 3.55...

Send a message via Yahoo to Nicolas19
if the update is greater than 4.21 will give the usual error 0x80010009 and return to xmb
For Fix this Problem we must install a Small app (Fix_Update_4.21+)
I Hope @Rogero will Add this file into his CFW

Thanks for this.

I was on Rogero CFW 4.30 V2.00 and after upgrading to Rogero CFW 4.30 V2.03 everything seemed fine until i shut down and the next day couldn't load a single game and controller wouldn't work ?

I downgraded back to Rogero CFW 4.30 V2.00 and everything was good once again. I will wait to see if any further bugs appear on the latest CFW.

What is good though is the Rogero CFW 4.30 V2.03 has the install package link in the original ps3 xmb screen when you change the settings in multiman it will interchange with the launch homebrew icon link.

Thanks for all your hard work Rogero - A true PS3 Legend !!!!

I'm not usually the one to whine but GODAMN! people read the posts in this thread, its been covered numerous times already.

- NO YOU CANT UPGRADE TO A CUSTOM FIRMWARE IF YOU HAVE A OFFICIAL FIRMWARE OVER 3.55

anyone tried it?
yes you can, it does have all the patches needed and it is tested and works fine, it have the noBD/noBT patches so can be installed from FSM without having the BluRay drive connected, and will exit FSM fine.
