So here is the easiest way I found to make it work. first you will want to
1. put a fressh copy of black ops II on an empty external HDD formatted in FAT32.
2. load multiman
3.in MM go to black ops 2 game settings. from the XMB clone display this can be done by pressing the triangle buttton. in game settings set the game to use external game data.
4. mount the game.
5. connect the drive back to the PC and remove the multiman game data folder from GAMEI folder. (This step must be done every time. to save yourself a headache try XMBM + Which has a built in file manager and runs from the XMB making sure to copy it's game data to the extenal drive's GAMEI folder too this item doesnt need to be deleted from the folder as black ops 2 wont scan for it.)
6. make sure the drive is connected to the PS3 and boot the game.
7. if the game hangs at boot or returns a server error create a new user and psn profile and use it.

Of course you could try the recent stealth release of MM thats on the front page. But I'm a rebug user and it only supports 4.30 CFW from rogero right now.

Lol..

For me personally, I can play it on my OFW machine as I was before this fix was released..

Its simply a case of saving me swapping over consoles to play this game online, I own the game, I own an OFW machine, and I certainly dont cheat, just annoying that I could be banned for being on my CFW machine..

I wonder if the bulk of these issues is to do with running the game from the HDD, if thats the case, ill create a new account and try from disc on cfw for a bit

Then, still work Bops2 Multiplayer with Deank's multimanager and ROGERO 4.30?
I wouldn't start the online and get the ban...

Most of them say he tryed with all the mm stealths left there
I deleted multiman each and every time, I'm guessing like I suggested before they can detect Rex's package manager.

I thought mm cleaned those logs though, you may be right if that isn't the case.

*Woke up this morning to server errors*

treyarchs servers are on defcon 3 which to me kinda goes along with the theory that they have decreased the time between checks and have become more vigorous.

Having received server errors for over 10 minutes and swapping through the random accounts that i have made i decided to check back through the file structure as i have the last few days and see whats appeared ect.

all the usual suspects are where they usually end up see this post:

http://www.ps3hax.net/showpost.php?p...&postcount=219

i removed them all booted BO2 got online for 5 mins and server error

i then checked through a few more folders on internal found about 3 new files located

dev_hdd0/tmp/pushlist/

these where related to BO2 so removed them aswell and all the previous and i got back online for an hour then got connection probs ps3 black screened reboots to find server errors

ive never actually formated only removed some files/folders and homebrew ect

so i took the steps formatted internal , reformatted external

fresh copy of BO2 Duplex on ext, installed mm (used multiMAN ver 04.09.00 BASE (20121030) as it was what was on my usb stick from a setup

Select + X on BO2 , inserted Rachet & Clank Quest for booty (only game i own lol)

Deleted MM

booted BO2 from disc icon with wifi enabled but not signed into psn

loaded into multiplayer and its been connected at the menu for around 1 hour 45mins so far

im gunna leave it connected on the menu for the mo as i was see if theres a pattern to the disconnects/files being created

and obviously to see if there checks are when first connecting and then every so many minutes or at the end of games joining new hosts ect

ill keep u updated on my findings but IM ONLINE using this method and yet to be kicked..

Usually the kicks only come after joining a game server. Good luck though

Kept it at the menu for around 2hrs not one kick was able to back out to main menu and back in to multiplayer multiple times but not joining a game had no problems what so ever.

*This gives me the impression that there's one solid game check upon booting*

Proceeded with a game of core/domination managed to play one solid game and then upon loading the 2nd i was stuck on loading with a spinning treyarch symbol and wifi/hdd activity going mad! force restarted the ps3 (as it had hardlocked)

upon bootingreinstalled MM, Select + X then deleted MM, Booted BO2 via disc icon into multiplayer and i was indeed greeted with Servers error

backed out to MMOS checked internal and external all the same files are back ($Recycle, BG0&BG1, PS3INI.ini) and a few more files in Tmp/Pushlist and a new gamedata folder called BLES*****-AUTO- (not seen this before)

As ive absolutely nowt on this ps3 atm ive just formatted external & internal again and have again been able to boot into multiplayer Online Havent quiet joined a game yet (bout to eat tea) but my theory is it shuld let me play as im online and i should again be kicked.

only thing i can think is there detecting this a few diffrent ways some of which we know others we have probably guessed over the last 100 pages

*what we know*

There detecting folder/game id's for homebrew/games ect

Once detected files are created upon your hdd and ext in various places

once these are removed you can resume playing

But you will 95% get the files back its just a timing matter

*What we dont know*

We dont know whats in the selfs or the .ff files as the headers are encrypted diffrently this is typical of cod games from what ive been reading and no doubt will be decrypted in the future (its beyond me im afraid)

We have no knowledge on *.BG0 & *.BG1 file format its also not documented on the net anywhere ( these are very interesting so any ideas or surgestions)

Also PS3INI.ini is not like any *.ini file ive come across opened it in notepad and its just garbage can these be encrypted?

and then theirs the whole server side checking thats going on and tbh we prob wont ever find this out unless someone decides to find and hack a server or something similar like packet sniffing ect to see whats actually happening from a connection pov

can someone a bit more knowledgeable gimme a reply regarding the ps3logs/cache where its stored, how it obtains/relays the info ect ect

ive had a scoot around but not found much on the subject
