Get off of rebug and get on Rogero and make sure to use the stealth version of multiman.

I havent confirmed it. But a few people were saying that rebug plays up to 4.30 also. Something about the keys havent changed.

Check it out

Yes. The keys have not changed. The only thing that needs done, is just a change in the line in the game's .sfo file that specifies the minimum required firmware.
Multiman can do that for you, patch the .sfo of 4.21+ games (and actually asks you), if you try to run 4.21+ games on rebug. So set that aside in your considerations OP.

Rogero obviously unless you like not being able to play the latest games without waiting for fixes that might never come.

Rebug is pointless - imo. Unless you like tinkering with silly options that you don't understand for the sake of it.

I wasn't aware of this, in which case disregard my previous comment, thanks for the heads up on that.

Doesn't really make a difference though. Rogero for me, can't see the point in Rebug.

Rebug 4.21 REX In my opinion. Yes some of the features in rebug are useless to me, but it is nice to have options.

But for me it was a trust issue. Rogero is great and it seems all the kinks in his CFW are ironed out. But during the earlier releases everything that was happening told me to wait. All the "have to update from recovery. Some bricks really early..demo mode".

I knew rebug wouldnt release anything like that. To me it was Safer and more Stable in the beginning. But now its probably a toss up. And you will have a stable CFW either way. Basically flip a coin!

Now reading my post..it proly didnt help the OP! Lol

Neither FW is better than the other, I just like the ability to use DEX functions on my retail console.... Also I agree with above post, it seems that Rebug like to do extensive testing before releasing stuff to the masses

REBUG CFW, usually is destined for technical people who need to have access to more advanced (debug) options / features, maybe for development, or for educational purposes. Or people who just wanna have many stuff they don't actually use.

Rogero CFW, is made with the intention to unlock your PS3 features, so you can do whatever you want in the simplest way possible and the less risk of brick possible, while maintaining the OFW escence. Not very useful for developers or technical users overall, since it doesn't provide advanced (debug) options.

Obviously, for users that just want to use Homebrew and Play without having to mess with the PS3 to much you can use Rogero.

There is not some kind of association that regulate what makes a CFW better than other in the PS3 Scene, so it is basically a matter of user taste and what they are looking for.

I cannot say, hey Rogero is better than Rebug, or otherwise, because is just my perspective, ugly can be pretty to me, and what seems big to someone else might seem little to me, and so on.

SeeYa!

for me only if you have a dead bluray drive rebug is #1 (so you can save $ on a new driver). i only use rogero and will use because is the one who have done so much for the scene. most of the people who have downgraded consoles should thank rogero for his mfw's.

Yea i guess you can think of the two cfws that way.
But if you follow itskamels rebug guide like i did. There is no tinkering with the cfw. I use it just as i used kmeaw 3.55, just play games. I dont even know what half the stuff means in the rebug toolbox. But if i ever need to use them they are there.

To me its kinda like if you buy a car in the winter time. "no give me the one with no a/c. Why? Cause its cold i dont need a/c. Oh ok. Then summer comes. Shoulda got the one with a/c especially since it was free! Lol

I know you can switch back and forth between these CFW. But i like having the options of rebug just incase i need them.
