ROGERO CFW 4.30 V2.03 Problems / Game Freeze or return to XMB / Slow System
Hello fellas,
I finally upgraded my PS3 to ROGERO CFW 4.30 V2.03 but I have some problems, some games freezes in black screen and others return to XMB without any error code. Sometimes the games run normally, but takes several minutes to load and freezes sometimes in cinematics. I make some tests. the errors happens more frequently when 2 hdds are plugged. Some infos: I upgraded from OFW 3.55 through recovery menu / non-downgraded console / latest version of multiMAN installed 04.14.04 / Original EBOOTS / Erased game data. Someone have an idea? Passed for same issues? |

The 2 hdd's problem was well known, but I thought deank fixed this in mmCM 04.14+.
Its more likely issues with mmCM than rogeros CFW tbh. Lots of people reported issues with 04.14.02/3/4 try revert back to 04.14.00 base/full whatever you use.

I have no issue. I had rogero 4.30 2.00 and multiman 04.13.00. Updated to CFW 4.30 2.03 and then updated multiman to 04.14.00 and after to 04.14.04. Deleted all homebrew after running stealth multiman, including multiman and standalone install package files.
The only "if" i have now is that everytime i want to mount another game i have to reboot the ps3. I've no issues playing backups, although my only online game is GT5, but that i have the original one. I dont play backups online to avoid banning :D Try to downgrade back to 3.55 rogero v3.7 and reinstall multiman. Then update back to 4.30 2.03 rogero and check if payload setting in multiman is on Standard. Check if you have bd mirror on/off. Try different options in bdmirror. If problem presists, backup your hdd and format it. |

Multiman 04.14.00 changelog
"USB Ports issues: * When using more than one USB device mM will disconnect/reconnect them from/to the USB bus in the proper order * This fixes games that crash when started from USB when multiple devices are connected" I will try install multiman 04.14 base again and run the games without update .04 ************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
I read it in another thread, but the problems are little different of my: "go to recovery menu and restore file system, wait until it is done and then go again to recovery menu and rebuild database." You think it could work? |

It sounds to me like an internal drive issue. free up a couple gigs internally and see if that helps. If not try a different internal drive. if neither of these work than try reverting to an older mmcm.
I had same issues awhile back. turns out my HDD had a problem... it was damaged and could only use half its capacity without locking up. |

Multiman is certainly very badly optimized for large file systems/large numbers of files. It really does run like a dog as drive approaches about 2/3 it's capacity full. Everything slows to a crawl. Not a slander on Multiman, on the whole top notch obviously. It's clear programming low level stuff isn't deank's strong point and that's not a criticism. |

Fair enough. I do agree there. it takes quite awhile for MM to reload my game list if i reconnect.

I followed yours tips and now my PS3 is OK
here I go: I deleted all internal backups, all homebrews (included Multiman) and all game data I restored the file system and then rebuilded database in recovery menu install Multiman 04.14.00 full / update to 04.14.04 non-stealth / disable "Rescan option when 2 HDDs are plugged" (Now I connect a HD at a time) and change payload option to standard. This solved the black screens and game freezes but Multiman still slow to load backups ![]() I think in the future @deank will solve this bug Thanks guys! and sorry for my bad english.
