After the keys leaked, xK3y went pretty quiet, I wonder if they looked for someone to take stock off their hands and cut their losses.

Cobra pick it up and squirt DRM all up inside it, although tbh, I dont get why: There is no exploit for OFW 4.xx so its useless.

I don't understand why everything in this scene has to have some sort of profit. Cobra can play ps1 isos as well as psp on a ps3? I doubt you need extra hardware to get that function. If you think about it, if it weren't for the leak, most of us would be stuck on 3.55 with no other option.

The xboxscene is far more advanced in this category, they share the info and we don't need to rely on a leak to get us going.

The Cobra Dongle can be done via software, people are too greedy though.

And yes the 360 scene is far better than the PS3 scene

Look E3 is totally silent too, empty words = empty promises. (Seems many already forgot E3 some months backs crazy statement before 3.60 keys leak)

Suspicious will rise about many of them, we can make conjectures but one thing is 4 sure Cobra was not PWNED like TB or any other device.

Either way if the product is released they will charge for it and nobody will give a damn if cobra/E3/etc were involved on this.
If the product works their memory span get's shorter, don't blame them for that tough.

reading some of these posts about this really makes me wonder how some of these people even got their ps3's modded in the first place. atleast try to do a little research on this stuff before you post random stuff and look silly. but back to the topic of cobra. i think its nice that some1 will give 3k3y a little competition so they don't monopolize it and charge people outrageous prices. i don't feel like quoting the person that asked about the game formats but i think some1 posted this about the 3k3y and it was said that the games would be iso format(might be wrong). sucks having to redo all the backups you have to use it but i guess i'm lucky i only have about 5-6 games. as for getting the drive key i'm in the dark on that. i've yet to see any details (or looked) on being able to do it on anything but cfw or the newer models. personally i think if cobra was possible of doing it on newer consoles they would have released cfw for those people to make money off them first. only thing i hope that comes from this is that you can't mod games for cheats.

I'd like to address the statement you have to be on 3.55 cfw to get your drive keys...no you don't..you need to be on cfw but you don't need to downgrade to 3.55 if you are already on Rogero 4.30. I just resigned the the EID dumper app...it works fine on rogero cfw....but you do need to be on cfw to get the drive key....this I'm afraid is true....

The point i was making to the idiot, was that this wont work just straight from OFW and that you need to be on CFW in order to get the key.

Well to me it's stupid to buy an ODE if you need to be on CFW to begin with.. There are ways to detect an ODE if one really wants to (and Sony will really want to do that), so buying an ODE so you can update to an OFW and stay on it, is a very risky business.. At the moment you can do anything with the latest CFW as you can with the ODE, so why spend any money on one (let's not forget you'll have to open up your PS3 and connect the device, which also has to have a cable to the outside as you will need to have to connect a disc (so you'll propably also have to do some modding to the case).. Why go through all the trouble and pay (let's not forget you also have to buy a 'securityscrewdriver' to loosen one specific screw) for something you already have for free. Personally I would only go that route if the next CFW would be like arriving never, but then again, I won't buy an ODE anyway as it's only use is for pirated games (let's not forget with OFW you cannot backup your PS3 games), which I'm not gonna do..

Even though there isn't any information out if you need to be on CFW or not, I also doubt it that it will work on any OFW which hasn't been hacked..

When you extract the drive key from a cfw console, the motherboard sends some commands to the drive, and it will return the key at some point (obviously).
Would it be possible to make a hardware device that sends the same commands to the drive and receives and stores the key ?
If that would work then 3k+ consoles could have the key dumped and use an ODE device on 'unhackable' consoles.
Just a thought. Prolly not possible.
