PS3 Bricked While Flashing

Hi, i was flashing my PS3 and then i got this error

1 0 0 0 1 1 1 1 Failed to write PS3 BIOS Check pads / clip at PS3 board check may not be properly seated.

Then i press Stop on the E3 Flasher, everything was working fine until i shut down PS3 using power button.

Then when i turn it back on i get 3 Beeps and its flashing red.

Can i fix this by soldering Tristate to GND or SBE ?

Oh and i forgot that it was working, had 2 blue light led up before i get the error and PS3 didnt shut down itself. Is it a brick or its just something else ?

You bricked because the flash process did not complete.
  1. Reseat the clip.
  2. Solder a wire from sbe on e3 ribbon to nor tristate on motherboard.
  3. Put switch 1 up and the rest down, and power on ps3.
  4. Flash your valid backup.
  5. Power off PS3.
  6. Put all switches down.
  7. Power on PS3.
You are now unbricked and can follow the guide below from Chapter 2.

I tried a solderless Tristate => SBE and then Tristate => GND and both didnt work. Is it possible to do it solderless just with electrical tape or it just wont work ?

I used wire from a USB cable, is it a good wire or i should use something else ?

USB Wire i used is 28 AWG

@geeklogik
Yeah. He has a valid dump. It was posted in a different thread.

@JohnnyBoyQC

28gwg wire is good to use. But I doubt you will get a good enough contact, without soldering. There has been times I soldered and it wasn't good enough. And I had to resolder.

You should find someone to do it for you then. You can burn right through your e3 ribbon clip, if you don't know what your doing. Or wreck your motherboard.

If you can't find a friend or family member that knows how to solder....

I can unbrick and downgrade your console for you. Take a look at my reviews in my downgrade service thread below.

u can use the nonsolder way yes...use good transparant sticky tape and make sure the wire with small striped ends get good contact on Tristate and GND..it really works if ur doing it properly

I really had no experience in soldering a year and a half ago.
and bought a ps2 just to chip it.
RESULT : Burned Mobo.
Then i started watching videos and practice on the burned Mobo, after a year now i use only soldering option because it is more reliable. but need practice a lot to understand how it works

Make sure to use Solder iron not more that 30 Wat (i have 20 Wat Solder iron) and buy a good one with a fine tip
0.6 mm solder wires
Flux will help a lot
Ground points need more heat to attach the solder to it

Im on my phone and cant post this pic but its easier
To solder the tristate to the e3 board than the clip itself...

http://i1155.photobucket.com/albums/...n_sbe_sbce.jpg

There is one.... Its easier to do it here than the clip...
Can try taping wire from this sbe point to the tristate??
Otherwise just need it soldered
Takes 5 mins either way
