Hi

My PS3 got a trophy error and cannot play game.
I tried many methods but the only method that work is to run rsod.pkg
so I would like to know if there any drawback from runing rsod.pkg every time I turn on my PS3?

If you are trying to stay on notheros cfw, your PS3 will eventually be a permabrick.

and sorry forgot to mention. my PS3 is on 3.55 kmeaw and never connect to the internet.
will there be any problem from running rsod.pkg on 3.55 kmeaw?

Oh, since you said trophy errors, I thought you installed notheros pup to bypass RSOD.

Running the rsod.pkg rewrites the VTRM area on flash. I don't think it would hurt to run it on Kmeaw.

Did you have the RSOD error before?

Yes I got RSOD before. I somehow able to fix it with e3 flasher and rsod.pkg(first time) and notheros pup and rsod pkg (second time)
I also tried lv2.self for RSOD but no good.
After I run rsod.pkg I upgrade to 3.55 kmeaw and It worked for a week before the trophy error occured which seems to occur after I turn off my system after I get a new trophy.
I have tried:
1. delete the trophies via multiman and rebuilt the data
2. restore file system from recovery mode
3. restore ps3 system from recovery mode
4. reinstall OFW and CFW.
5. full format the HD
so I give up looking for permanent fix. and wonder if it save to run rsod.pkg repeatly on kmeaw.

If you have a food dump replace the tsop and flash
Update and dump again
Patch ect
Downgrade
Install cfw
it won't rsod on you again

I have a dump after I fix the first rsod before I got the second rsod.
Is that considered to be a good dump?
and what is tsop? is it the nand chip?
