If you are referring to @ViperMM , then he is referring to the fact that you will be able to download PS3 games from a friends PS3, which is technically piracy.

I think he did give his reasons why he dislikes the app, one of them being that its over bloated, also he spoke more about it on IRC.

I personally don't like it when people call a Homebrew app useless, but at least he did give his reasons for saying that, many people don't.

meh, i say let the guy voice his opinions. if he had stated that the product was just bull****, that would be wrong. but he said it was his personal opinion. we should value opinions!

gregory, i understood that i could rip a game directly from a friends ps3 (THATS useless IMO...:P )
can i load games\movies etc that way also? or can i only transfer files (games) to the PS3, THEN play it?

Piracy... I dont think this will be the cause of piracy lol, thats been here for some time without Deans help, this is nothing more than p2p like people use on torrents anyway, personally, pointless for that purpose.

Other things it could be used for sound interesting though, who knows what will come of it.

But really, I wouldnt worry about people all of a sudden starting to share files illegally who never have before, I think they started that long ago, dont see many complaints when a new version of reactpsn comes out, or a duplex psn download becomes available.

Thanks Dean for putting yet more of your time and effort into the scene for us all to benefit from in one way or another!

This is a direct quote from dean, which was posted on the front page:

So you will be able to transfer games, movies, save files, music etc, from a friend in another country or a family member from another room in your house, all without the need of USB drives.

Well, in my opinion...multiMAN does provide the user with the ability to contribute to Piracy...but it does provide the user and option to Backup games in a legit way.

I use to give my cousin (legit / bought) PS3 games for some weeks, but since I study and he works, we don't have much time to meet, so this feature would allow us to basically do this over the internet, without having to travel to each other house and make the game trade.

Guns can be used for sport, but they can be used to kill as well.

It all depends on the user, so multiMAN is the same, a tool, not the one who commits the action. Someone has to take the choice, good or bad.

If we start talking what things on this world are being used in a way that break the rules, or used in a "wrong" / "correct" way, we would never end.

@GregoryRasputin , your previous post example display one of the usage I am trying to describe. Btw, I respect your opinion as well.

yeah, it's piracy...so what? You know, just as well as I do, multiman is used for piracy by no less than 95% of the people who use it. This makes a nice safe way to share games, homebrew, etc. It does away with the need to go searching all day long for a copy of the game you want with halfway decent links. If you have a bunch of people you trust, you can now just give them access to your console and let them download the games directly from you, almost similar to torrent. THis is a wonderful idea!!! Now I don't have to redownload games for my close friends whose consoles I've modded for them. I can just grant them access to my ps3 and let them go download crazy. And if I read correctly, it can also grant access to any device connected to the ps3. So that would also include your pc. THat means I don't even have to have the games I want to share on my ps3 usb drive....I can share them directly from my pc via the p2p multiman connection!! I just hope there's a way to limit the files that are shared....I'd rather not give anyone access to my entire pc
