if you are going to stick to Kmeaw Brick is almost Zero,

but if you planning to go up to 4.3 CFW make a dump before you proceed using:
Multiman or memdump
then go with the update
AS LONG YOU HAVE ANY VALID DUMP TO YOUR PS3 AND HAVE A FLASHER YOU ARE OK

Too late i am already on 4.30 Rogero, but now im trying to instal Multiman 4.14.0 Base and im all lost with ALLLL the PKG file in there.

Rogero suggests that you leave Qa flag toggled on. It is good to just leave it on, then update from the XMB to Rogero v2.03.

You should make a dump on each firmware. The more dumps the better. So if you were to brick on 3.55, if you have a dump from 3.55 you can just flash that and you will be unbricked.
If you brick on 3.55 and only have a dump from ofw4.31, then you would need to flash that, and then do the downgrade procedure again.

3- The QA flag is better to be always Enabled on your PS3 for safer upgrading/downgrading operations.
