like @carldenning said do you have a game disc in the drive??

No disk in the drive at any point of update or downgrade. I remember reading awhile back that if u use usb to update it takes the disk update first so i made sure to keep all disks away.

Anyone tried to use rebugs 999 downgrader after the 4.25-3.55 downgrader? Just remembered an important incident. After my first attempt to go to rogero 3.55 v3.7 after the downgrade from rogero 4.21 v1.09 my hdd corrupted and the rebuild didnt work so i had to format. Sux cause i lost 800+ gigs. Im using a 16 gig usb stick in which i format before i put an update on it. PS3--->UPDATE--->PS3UPDAT.PUP

i've had a couple of cans of beer mate and just finished a full week of night shift. if you have a usb stick try formatting it (not quick format) then place your folders on the drive and try again with the 3.55 v 3.70 pup. when i wake in the morning sober around about 5 hours from now if that hasn't worked i'll help you more. I bid you farewell for tonight though.

I was finishing a pint of gin when i started this (4 days ago). Ive searched for thoes 4 days and this is the most help ive had. Thanx for all the comments and helping me rule out a few things. Ill work on it a few more hours and track my finding. Hopefully we can fix this and have knowledge in case someone else runs into this. Thanx again and im glad that hax has a nice helpful community.

mate i had this problem the other night and i was mortal drunk and i can't for the life of me figure out my work around. but i did try and help somebody else out here within the hax forums who had exact same problem and they posted back how they progressed so maybe if you could sift through my posts you will find an answer but for now the stella artois has definitely got the better of me. I'll be back round about 1 pm gmt though.

Still no luck with any cfw or ofw. Everything but qa flag seems to work. Not sure where to go from here.

ok so after u re-format ur hdd did you reinstall the downgrade pup?
