The new "PSN Store" is an app ?... and has updates like other apps ?... So it uses PARAM.SFO's ?
http://www.ps3hax.net/2012/11/releas...-update-v1-01/ Another target to look for new "CATEGORY", "ATRIBUTE" flags or rare stuff

Probably i just wanted and remember as VF (as VF is on the only unknown category left on xmb codding page) Anyway, both of the category VF or SF don t show up on XMB when it with SFO tools ( i didn t try so much ) so might not be good to use for homebrew. SF can stand for Store, but F? Attribute are not rare (iirrc only XMB in game background music) Playstation Store appear on VIDEO, GAME and Network Playstation but with different content (and right?) If anyone can confirm which column they have the icon of playstation store (and if different according to locale account, if different for US, UE, JP account)? Update don t create any folder on game data or game folder and when you en light the icon playstation with triangle options are only : start, delete. |

Also, "WT" as "Web TV", "BV" as "Broadcast Video"... and "CB" as "Cell BE" (im pretty sure CB was created exclusivelly for "folding at home" app) All this names are speculation (WT and BV names mostly for completion), but i think are good enought by now... better than having nothing... anyway are still in the table with question marks Abot how this new category's works... i have no idea, when i added them to the table i just put a "since firmware XX... up to firmware XX"... but i copyed this from you If you have more info add it to the table I think i will make another 2 columns in the table for this "since firmware XX... up to firmware XX" We used it in the past for some formats, later removed, later added again, is usefull and can be used in all formats, and now the table is near complete so we can add more challengues to hunt ![]() ----------------- The TITLE_ID used in sony contents keeps some standards that are interesting (note my last edits in wiki related with NPIA000**) By now i realized all the NPIA000** are "sony utilities" (im not sure how to name them exactly, other option is "sony apps" or "first party apps", etc...) There are only a few of this apps (note NPIA00025 is the most newer released 1 month ago, so are around 25 in the collection) The second group is NPIA900**... that includes "quriocity" "netflix" "Qook TV", etc... I have not taked a good look at this so i have no idea how to name this group... maybe "licensed apps" Last edited by sandungas; 11-26-2012 at 08:40 AM. |

@sandungas
,
Name guess sound really good, may be for PSP we can add MS as memory Stick/ EG as External Game? 2 Column might be too much, removed is may be only for one category and "since FW" might be hard to know. Only two or three category seems to be really unique from FW but there are also how they appears or not ( e.g.: SF did not pop up anywhere, even not on game folder unknown where wrong category used to go, it was from quick test, probably tied to specific id, will test more) ID as NPIA00025 (it might not be the newest might be also included internal test/PSP apps or even mixed with NPIA90000 (they keep the same count but change with the first number because it was created by other department) A other nice id is: NPJA00040 = ad hoc party (you play somes psp games online through PS3) One other a little "rare"= NPJB90455 = Hulu (like netflix) Other ID not following regular way= BLET70024 for BBC sport. (don t follow the regular NP but instead BL even it s from network, but can have been released from disc demo etc..., and T as the end) edit: i like the idea about FW added/removed, there are may be some thing to do as board, with also other parameters as region_deny, but can be into something more generic than just FW. Like specific page with every change on each FW as here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlaySta...ystem_software ( i don t see such page on our wiki? but basically the same board, may be little less generic and linked to lot of internal pages. e.g. FW 1.70=added memory card compatibility linked to the memory card adaptor page) Last edited by Ada Love Lace; 11-27-2012 at 10:14 AM. |

RCan SF be or "store format"?
I would also say, that they use this format: NP for content that you can have on the fw. (this means made by Sony) BL from external source (an example games) Then the region (probably IA is for those without location), an example US, JP or ES Then the number of the "software" on the regional location. An example can be taken from the addons. When you buy some addons, you will see that you can download different packages for different APPID Last edited by deroad; 11-27-2012 at 10:22 AM. |

I saw your edit here ada http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/PARAM.SFO#TITLE_ID
I need to explain this "I" (i tolk about it here or in wiki, dont remember)... there was an "I" time ago in the "title id's for discs"... i just copied from this page: http://www.damox.net/ (or maybe i found in a psn game and later forget about it) But later (talking with euss about region settings... and checking again this page and the ID's in gamefaqs) i realized it was not from a disc... so i decided to remove it But this last days (when talking about the NPIA*****) is obvious is used in hdd content... but probably not in discs This "I" is = International, now seems correct You are thinking the same than me... there is an identifyer for each type of hdd content (the last letter), and a number asociated (the first number... or maybe first and second numbers) By now the most obvious group is NP*A0**** And second one is NP*A9**** Both are "utility apps" (not games) But after this are confusing: an avatar NP*O0**** or a neogeo: NP*B3**** or others that breaks the method, so maybe cant be used for all -- btw... this section of wiki needs to be changed to separate the first number Note USA disc games are BLUS3**** So watever this first number means... it affects discs, and hdd contents (in other words... affects all contents)
In your case is region japan, but keeps the NP*A0**** Actually, "ad hoc party" can be used with all "PSP remasters" games (like monster hunter portable HD)... the ad hoc party comes in this discs as a .pkg also can be downloaded from the store (so maybe the pkg have a different ID in each store) The only thing that breaks a bit the initiall idea is playstation store is nș25 Ad hoc party is older... if is nș40 there is a nonsense ![]() The "T" of BLET70024 (for BBC sport) is the first time i saw it, i have no idea what can be... but this "7" after the "T" is another mistery ![]() ---------------- Actually is better to make a list with examples instead of being here writing some innacurate examples (included my innacuracies) Without taking notes is imposible to understand... when you have taked a look at 3, 4, 5... packages is normal to forget the previous ones ![]() We can make a table with examples (starting with NPIA0****) and try to separate them later Edit: Ok, i made a table to fill with examples: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Talk:PARAM.SFO#TITLE_ID Add whatever you think is interesting... is a good start with the "utilities" (not games) but all is interesting Last edited by sandungas; 11-27-2012 at 12:51 PM. |

PSP remaster has also the id folder of ad hoc party because when you start the game, the screen let you to choose between starting the game or the ad hoc party ( i used @deroad SFO Test eboot.bin instead of the original ad hoc party and it worked) I didn t look more in details if this select screen is part of the eboot.pbp psp remaster game or utility from FW. The ID table is nice, i ll check others apps SFO (there are other BBC) and after SFO used on specific disc (and so PSP remaster, and PS3_VPRM, and other specific BR structure) I tried also to launch others eboot.pbp (with no change) instead of the original PSP remaster but only black screens. Will give more test soon. |

The selector uses to be the main eboot.bin... for this "psp remaster" games is a bit special because after launching ad hoc party it needs to load the game (so the ID of the game is sent to ad hoc party when ad hoc party boots)
Ad hoc party is common for all this games, probably can be updated with patches (Game Data updates) --- I added 2 columns ("Since" and... "Up to") in this table http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/PARAM.SFO#CATEGORY to put the firmwares when the format was introduced The column "Up to" is there only because categories "BV" and "WT" (i have no idea if this ones was removed) We can remove this "Up to" column to make the table smaller if "BV" and "WT" are still valid in 4.31+ (all the others are valid) |

This "UP to" can already be necessary for CB life with playstation, i read something related about this being not anymore available on ofw (but if you still have it installed it will continue to work) since the project ll close. Your PM box is full. |

Because (you know well)... if the CATEGORY is not recognized by the firmware... and then you "rebuild database" (or run the app 1 time)... the app "dissapears" from XMB So if is still there in 4.30+ after a "rebuild database" = his CATEGORY is still valid Maybe has been blocked from the "pkg installer" ? (not valid for the installer, but valid for XMB) Ops, now is empty
