Lately, its keeps freezing, as soon as I start at XMB it freezes, I have tried to do restore, rebuild database but no luck. Sometimes when I start, the screen freezes but if I move the controller I can hear the XMB moving beeps.

I am using DEX 4.21

one thing I am thinking is it could be bad HDD, or do you guys have any ideas?

yes tried that too, I have also tried going back to 3.55DEX but same thing. I can't even boot to XMB.

currently PS3ITA I am using but problem happens on 4.21DEX and 3.55DEX as well, tried swapping new HDD but same thing.

Hopefully it is not bricking or something because DEX gets a few degrees hotter as CEX..... did you clean the PS3 already inside?
