I forgot my HAF case. Total its around 2k(ish). But i had to upgrade from my old 775 socket. Im not going to upgrade for while now though! I dont only game though, i also produce (music & video) rendering in hd is a world of difference now!

Well in my first post I was using xubuntu. I later decided to give kubuntu a shot. I have played with many linux distros trying to find the right one for me.
@lunuxx
suggested I try fedora. The only experience I have ad with fedora was on my PS3 years ago. I have to say I like fedora a lot and wish I had tried it sooner. I will get some screenshots up in a bit. I recommend it to anyone that likes gnome, hates unity, or is wanting to try linux out.

So I have also decided to give Windows 8 a second chance. I guess there were several fixes since I took it off of my machine because it seems to be a lot more stable. It isn't Windows 7, but I believe by the time a service pack drops it is going to be a great OS.
 The start button is called STARTisBACK and I like it. I only see metro if I choose to see it. My system boots directly to my desktop. Everything seems to be working fine for me except Jungle FLasher (IO ports do not enumerate in Windows 8, but they did in the preview releases.... I am thinking a Team Xecutor conspiracy since they want to sell more 360 USB pros). Even metro isnt that bad if running it on a separate screen. I am actually planning on getting a nice touchscreen monitor just for the metro interface but running it alongside my main display that will always be in desktop mode. All and all I had a horrible experience with the first install but my second bout with it has been pretty good. Sorry for not posting the fedora screenshots. Fedora hated my 6850 and I sadly had to take it off of my machine and go back yo kubuntu (Steam Linux beta makes me want to have good working drivers in my distro of choice). Now if I can sort those issues out I will be putting fedora back on my machine. I actually miss it already but I wanted to play with steam.
