Well I've owned both Amiga's and ST/STE's, various models. ST/STE clearly had the faster CPU, as certain games were better on ST/STE than on the Amiga. And certain games were better on Amiga than on the ST/STE.

Both had the Motorola 68000 processor the Atari had it a bit overclocked. But as the chipset from the Amiga took a lot of processes from the processor, the Amiga was faster at the end.

Also owned an Atari later, liked the midi ports and music software very much. But for gaming my choice was always Amiga..... Might have something to do with the Amiga A3000UX I bought when I got out of compulsory military service

you are correct the next generation xbox will be a power house... ps4 will have similiar or slightly better power to the WiiU which uses an amd

yeah your right about the amd's being hotter but they are still very good graphic cards even tho i would have liked to see it with a nvidia instead ..but . the wiiu has a amd chip also
and so far i haven't had a problem with heat i think as long as they have good cooling it will be ok

Whatever specs they write and acrually put in the consoles, games won't change that much during first years. Maybe they will be just slightly better or get to a PC lvl graphic. Only special starting projects will show what consoles are capabele of and then you will see just regular games u got used to.

Games already are too expensive to develope even with current graphic lvl, it will be much worse in next generation.

As a game dev you don't have to go for supar-grpahic, it jsut have to be original, intresting, not photorealistic.

Patapon, Disgaea are awsome. On PC here is new Legend of Grimrock, and it's great although specs it requires - pretty much ****ty
