Let me start off by saying I am not a Troll.

Back story, I am on 3.55Kmeaw, and played Online (PSN) with Need for Speed:Most Wanted and I attempted to reach the servers for BlackOps II, but was not successful. As a result a week later I was greeted with a Error on my PS3 indicating I was Banned. I also received a Email from Sony stating that Pirated Software was found on my system and as a result I was Permanently Banned from SEN / PSN.

I then started my journey on Many PS3 Hacking/Modding forums to reach out for help or advise/guidance to get around the Ban.




All roads led me to 2 Apps: Chaos Air Bringer (MAC Changer) and PSIDPatch (ConsoleID Changer)
I set off to find these 2 Apps, I originally downloaded PSIDPatch1.0 and it didn't work for me. It kept giving me a error when booted: 80029519
I later found a more current version 1.6. This one did boot and showed all my current info (PSID and Console ID)

I downloaeded Chaos Air Bringer and booted it, nothing happened and returned to the XMB with no changes made.
The Readme indicated to be on 3.55OtherOS++
I didn't want to chance bricking by changing firmwares, so I found Rebugs Toolbox App and installed it. I used the toolbox to Enable Manager Access in LV1. This app needs to work in LV1, so thats why nothing was happening when I original booted it. As soon as I enabled manager access and booted the app, it wrote my MAC, I saved it and altered only 2 digits from it towards the end of the string. I then used the app to change my MAC, rebooted and then checked it, YES the MAC was changed, attempted to access PSN, no luck. I tried a brand new account I created that same day after the ban. So changing only the MAC does not work, I tried many different MACs with the same result.

I went back to PSIDPatch1.6 and booted it, I changed the PSID and ConsoleID with a Random one and then attempted to sign in, I received a new error that I never seen before "You have been signed out of the playstation network" I figured it had to do with changing the PSID So I went back and left the PSID as original and only changed the ConsoleID to a random one. I then attempted to sign in again and it gave me another error, "You cannot sign in using another user's sign-in ID (email address)" I then looked up that error and on another forum they said to fix it, you need to delete you PS3 USER account and create a NEW one. I did. Once I created a NEW USER account in the PS3 console I then checked the PSN sign-in and to my surprise it let me sign in!




I only did it that ONE time and did not want to try on there too long, because I did not want to get reflagged, since Im still on 3.55Kmeaw, my next step is to update to RogeroCFW4.30, and use PSN, I am sure it will work.

Just to be clear, this all worked using random numbers, I do have a spare PS3 that I could've and wanted to clone, but since using random numbers worked for me, I felt no need to clone it just yet

I did notice that PSIDPatch is not permanent and needs to be re-run every time you boot the ps3, does anyone one know a permanent patch to change the ConsoleID?

I thought you managed to do a permanent fix.
Also I don't think PSid patch works properly on any firmware above 3.55 as I couldnt change any ids and my console ids were wrong or the console id was in a different place on rogero 4.30 V2.03.

when i try to open chao air bringer it returns me to xmb screen.....

when i try rebug toolbox to enable system manager & return to xmb my ps3 freez & i have to unplug my ps3 to restart......

can any1 help me getting chaos air bringer to open ???? please

edit: i am on 3.55 kmenav?? also i have read 7 pages & found nothing helpful

Chaos Air Bringer gave me a lot of trouble for about a day, I tried it many times and always returned to XMB without writing or patching anything.
I soon realized that the 3.55Kmeaw Firmware alone was not able to make this patch, it need LV1 Access to change the MAC, So without changing Firmwares, I downloaded ReBug's Toolbox, and installed it and Enabled Manager Access under LV1. It still didn't work, so I thought maybe it was the App itself, so I set out to download the same app from other sources (sites) I tried about 5 different downloads and one finally worked and I was able to see the Green Light on the PS3 flash indicating the app did it job.

So basically, enable LV1 Manager Access, and reDownload Chaos Air Bringer untill you find one that works.
This process took some time, so be patient.

Oh, I also installed QAToggle before I began my journey in UN-Banning the PS3.

i take no responsibility if people try this and brick their ps3 always make sure you have a good untouched "bkpps3.bin" first

yeah with a E3 flasher

dump your NOR FLASH

open your "bkpps3.bin" with HxD

go to "0002F070" edit your PSID (the hole line)

then go to "000303D0" edit your PSID again (the hole line)

then go to "0003F040" and edit your mac address (first 12 digits on the start of that line)

try that IF it dont work (it didn't for me) use "ps3 nor dump auto patcher" after its patched your NOR flash edit what i said and save the changes

(you might need to finish the downgrade progress if you use "ps3 nor dump auto patcher" i didn't have to but that might be because i was on 3.55 already not sure)

flash your "bkpps3.bin" back on to your ps3 and you have a permanent change?

what all did you change to get back online (mac+PSID+console serial number)

i tried about a hour ago but i think i f****d up on my serial number

If someone is willing to give me there console ID + PSID (Banned or not it doesn't matter) from 3.55 and dump the lv1 with rebug toolbox then update to Rebug 4.21 and dump there lv1 with rebug toolbox I will update stoker25's PSID tool for 4.21cfw.

so.. just to make sure. all that u hadto do to get back online was:
leave psid as original
change console id (random)
and change mac address (random last 2 numbers)


is this correct? and if so did u really just change the last digits of your mac address to random digits or did u have a reason
are the console id changes permanent?
and one more thing, do u no if changing these (especially console id) invalidates my activated dlc?

Surely is something I was looking for.

Haven't faced a BAN as yet, since on the CFW (Rebug 3.55) I have only tried getting access to SEN using SEN Enabler/SGK pkg files and they did work by spoofing the ID and letting me go online.

However I am not using it often to let them check and BAN the console ID.

Might try the mods if I come across a similar situation.

why do u keep asking for "others" lv1/lv2 dumps?? i bet ur on CFW so what's so hard updating to any 4.xx cfw and dump it, compare the stuff and rebuild PSIDpatch to work proper on 4.xx, it's all the same if u ask me, the psid offsets, those are not in the NOR/NAND flash backup/dump, that stuborn bigfishdad keeps posting the PSID offsets in a NOR/NAND dump when it isn't the PSID(the one reported with psidpatch on 3.55! or encrypted maybe that i'm not sure...only IDPS/HDDserial/MAC can be found, looks they are required+the PSID+the extra idps's also in lv1/lv2 dumps, i guess only PSIDpatch can do this on the fly like on 355 after each reboot, but for that u can simply use ur OWN dumps and don't need another guys PSID to rebuild the homebrew not claiming ur gonna use it(as the PSID/IDPS is there) MAC not sure and HDD serial can be any cuse after upgrading one it isn't the same anyway, so not that important i guess.......

anyways with a lv1/lv2 dump from someone else u can make a valid(not tested..just another guess!) set and unban screwing anothers online expierence.....some are never happy and wants it all....take the ban as a man and either try with fake/madeup sh*t to unban ur banned ps3, hopefully it needs proper PSID and again is not in the NOR/NAND flashdump or atleast not those posted offsets called PSID offsets
