hello!
i was wondering if somebody knew when we will be able to install cfw from ofw 4.xx with only a usb containing the PUP.

if you know of someone that works on this (or maybe you work with it?)
please mention them here

In my opinion...... Never... Scene just doesn't have the drive for that , ps4 will be out end of next year and we can start all over again :-)

i heard Japsander made a 4.31 cfw you can install maybe you should ask him!!!

i think Rogero (King of ps3 jailbreaking imo) is working on this. i heard that all the keys needed have been recovered. (i might as well be wrong.)

i don`t understand why we cant just update with a cfw over ofm as any firmware over the current systems version should just install, eg a 4.30cfw should just install over a 4.20ofw. thats how the psp worked anyway.

its because sony has locked the ps3 and the ofw got the keys to unlock it so it can install. (i might be wrong though)

we do not have the private key , so that is why it cant happen !!!!
and no we cant get the private key !!!

You can't install a 4.30 CFW on OFW 3.56+ because it's signed with 3.55 private keys, thus you can only install it on 3.55. There's no method to recover the private keys on 3.56+, Sony fixed the Randomfail.

On 22.10.2012 PS3 LV0 keys have been leaked and reported to be working. For more info check ps3devwiki boot order = Click here And firmware revisions of CORE OS = Click here Question is what we can do with lv0: When bootldr keys got filtered allows us to sign lv0, what this means? that we have a big *chance* of developing superiors CFW passing 3.55 barrier. Here are they keys just in case, check them out. Click here Besides that we can do what the hell we want with certain limitations.
