Several sites said PlayStation control pad, but it was the Daily Mail that said PS3:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...=feeds-newsxml

The Daily Mail is one of those top papers, that have highly paid writers/journalists and they made n00b mistakes like this, i do this sh*t for free and i don't make mistakes like that

But saying all that, it is amazing what humans can do when faced with war and destruction, it will never save them against a Syrian tank, but it will save them against Syrian foot soldiers.

War is the mother of invention.
I'm not surprised at all, I remember reading something like that on kotaku about modded cars in Lybia that looks like cars from Twisted Metal
BTW the controller is in deed a cheap PC game pad you can get one for less than 1€.

quite awesome they managed to do this, however the tank will be quite vounrable as anti tank weapons would shred this thing while they would not against a regular tank. still quite awesome. I also think the turret controls could be a bit better, they better spend some more money on it and got a joystick as those are a lot better for this then a dpad. they should also remove those damn stickers from the screens.

No, it is clearly this one:

http://www.gts-pc.com/product/GTS-801?lang=en

It probably would work on a PS3, but it would be wrong to call it a PS3 controller.
