Not using cfw but would like to use pfdtool to decrypt my borderlands 2 save files. Gibb is saying that his save file editor will work with pfdtool decrypted files, I just need someone to get me the secure file ID?

Yes, it works. I tested it when working on a newer version. And save editor works fine too.

the only thing is is the new version is not decrypting the save file for me and a few others that I know. says operation complete but nothing happens, if you load the file with a hex editor the file is the same.

Are you saying about my command line tool or the front-end by aldostools? If there is a problem with my tool can you upload all neccessary files? I can check them.

Thanks for the awesome tools, I've already had some success in tweaking GT5 saves. I will have some disc keys and file id's to share in a bit.

@flatz : using your command line tool or @aldo s front end tool when you run the app it seems like it ran but nothing happens
when you compare files using hex editor the files are unchanged i have tried both tools

Command Line Output
(
C:\BF>pfdtool.exe -g BLUS30982 -d "M:\PS3\SAVEDATA\BLUS30982-SAVE-SAVE1346" SAVE1346.SAV
pfdtool 0.2.2 (c) 2012 by flatz
)

File for you to try your self

It works for me. Decrypted files are encrypted too (using an algorithm implemented by game developers) but you can easily determinate is it decrypted correct using my tools. Try to open decrypted file in a HEX editor and you will see 20 bytes of SHA-1 hash at the header. It is a hash of the file content without the hash itself (so select bytes starting from the offset 0x14 to the end of file and try to compute its SHA1 hash, it should match to the hash at the offset 0x00). The tool itself is not show any info when decrypt/encrypt at the moment so it is ok. Make sure that you specify a correct secure file id inside your games.conf. It should be like this: secure_file_id:SAVE1346.SAV=0201..............0D
