Hey I checked my 2nd Ps3 a friend gave me; it is still on ofw 3.30; and i'd like to go to kmeaw or rogero.
should i go straight to cfw3.55, or do i have to go to ofw 3.55 first?
will it be usefull and possible to go back to 3.30?
I just read a lot of tutorial but this isseu isn't clear

Yes installs ofw 3.55 then kmeaw or what ever firmware you please just don't update
To any ofw past 3.55 if you want cfw and you can always go back using qaflag pkg

Just wanted to thank Rogero for his hard work. Here's my contribution (if wanted) regarding testing the firmware.

I have an external drive 1Tb plugged into the internal SATA of the PS3 and every time I power the PS3, it won't detect the drive. A message is displayed asking to plug in the PS3 Controller. After I do so, an error message appears saying that a valid firmware couldn't be found and to update the system. I notice that the hard drive doesn't have any activity at all during that time (powered down?). I can only overcome this problem if I switch off the hard drive enclosure and turn it back on and then reboot the PS3.

I didn't this issue with version 1.0 of this firmware btw. It booted the hard drive fine on previous versions of the firmware, so it must be something added recently that's causing the hard drive to not 'wake up'.

Hopefully a fix will be worked on in the next version. Just my 2p

No one hacked 4.xx, All new CFW is based of of 3.55 keys.

Hey, i think that I have a problem with installing packages. I'm about to install farcry 3 duplex psn version. Installed package 1 fine, but when i try to install package 2, it shows up in the "package installer" i press que, and then nothing happens. I can't install it, on package 1 after it was qued the triangle button said "install" and now on package 2 the triangle just says "quit to xmb"

Does any1 know what i'm doing wrong? Thanks.

What i mean is, I can't find where to install the package file, the only options is queue,refresh,quit to xmb. There is NO install option. Anyone please?

after a little thinking, it seems that the problem is that it doesn't queue the package. It's weird, i press queue and a text comes up that says "please wait..."
when it's done the package isn't red like the other one that worked.. and i can't install it. Does anyone know what the freakkin problem might be?
