mMOS won't show NTFS/PFS drive information

Hello, I'm currently using multiman v04.14.04 Full CEX on a 3.55 CFW Kmeaw 60GBs PS3.
I've got a pkg that is over 4 GB in size so I can't install it from "install package files" in the XMB, hence, I'm trying to use multiman mMOS to load this pkg, however I've failed in my attempts so far.

Going through the instructions of DeanK, we are supposed to use the option switch to NTFS/PFS mode with only 1 NTFS drive connected to the ps3, doing this does in fact show in mMOS the two partitions /pvd_usb000, and /pvd_usb001, however, when I attempt to visualize the contents of these folders, mMOS file manager opens the folder and stays on a constant loading symbol on it, reporting 0MB free space in the folder and never changing, thus, I can't load the desired PKG.

Anybody has the solution to this problem?

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Help with multiMan reading NTFS drive

Hi guys,
Need a little help with the new multiMan.
Apparenty you can now read NTFS drives without the usb.config file, sort of plug n play if ya like.
Well I plug in my 500GB HDD, select toggle NTFS option in multiMan, it shows the usb000 & usb001 option in file manager but when I double click on them I just get the spinning arrows symbol (wait/reading).
It basically stays like that for ages and doesn't show any files......is it just taking its time or do I have an issue.
I'm just trying to copy over some game backups from my NTFS to internal.
Am I doing it right ?

Thanks

Sorry for duplicated topic,
Just noticed Crones posted a similar question minutes before i did

Bumping your question/topic over and over (not saying you DID), won't get anywhere any faster. It is likely that nobody has an answer for you, or those who DO have an answer just haven't seen this.

Also, I'm in the same boat as you :P Can't get my NTFS partition to show up

Also merged the threads since they are of the same issue.

Yeah, I was just a little desperate, however I think, I've found the solution, or rather, the cause of the problem.

Going through multiple tutorials and burning through my options (USB.CFG use included in these), it seems to be the problem is in the drive I'm using as a NTFS storage device. Asking for some of my friends not currently used devices, and formatting a lot of them to NTFS, I've discovered that some brands or particular storage devices just won't load as NTFS on Multiman, even if as FAT32 drives they are indeed recognized and have no problem on it.

Explaining last paragraph with an example, I've used a 1TB WD 2.5" External hard drive for all my pkgs and game backups so far, however, making it a NTFS formatted drive just makes it so Multiman will not read any information out of it. A similar but older version of the same WD external drive with less storage space however is indeed recognized as NTFS drive, and can do whatever Multiman is capable of with NTFS Drives, the same has applied to some pendrives, where even if a series of pendrives are of the same brand, some of them are recognized as NTFS and some others are not, it's like a matter of luck, so, I guess I'll have to stick with the NTFS storage devices I've managed to get working on Multiman.

tl dr Version: To read a NTFS formatted storage drive, try a lot of different ones, it's a hit and miss situation, some will work, some just won't, even if in the FAT32 version of them no problem appears.

I am having the same issue. (Multiman 4.30, Rogero 4.40) Using a 4 TB Seagate Expansion. Originally purchased it for use with the Wii, but it unfortunately has the new 4k sector size so gave it to the PS3. No problems with the FAT32 partition.

Created a second partition of 50 GB. NTFS, 4k cluster size (smallest possible.) Tried with that partition set to logical and set to primary. Clicked to switch to PFS mode and both /pvd_usb000 and /pvd_usb001 load forever indicating that they were not mounted. Attempted a restart a few times with each of the 4 USB ports. Same problem.

I read that in past versions the solution was to delete a file, but that USB file doesn't exist in the newest versions.

Not really sure what else to try. The fact that the FAT32 partition loads correctly shows that the drive works with the console. I tried splitting files instead to use with the FAT32 partition, but when I put the split files on the internal hdd they don't combine into one (I want to avoid relying on Cache) and I can't find a method for combining. I even tried creating a split .zip file, but multiMAN doesn't seem capable of extracting those.

I use WD Elements 2 TB external HDD's. MM recognizes them fine in FAT32 mode. However, if I try to switch them to NTFS, and then switch to PFS mode, I get that same pvd_usb000 loading forever screen. Not sure why, but maybe he didn't configure the higher sized WD's into the code, plus they could be newer then when he made the code for it, not sure. I had an older 300 GB WD Elements and it would recognize the NTFS switch, but that drive crashed a while ago. Now I use a 32 GB Flash Drive in NTFS format to move my large files over if needed and it recognizes those just fine.
