I thought you could only use 4gig cards, until I tried an 8 gig. So it might do.
I would look at getting an old fat one as they are the best.

I have 2 psp 1000's and the last I heard 8 gig was maximum and it was 4gb at release although the first 4gb I had was that monstrous Datel external Hdd and battery pack, it was massive.

It may bring back some memories for anyone that owned one.

I have two photofast CR-5400 dual-slot MicroSDHC to MS Pro Duo adapters that I use exclusively with the psp, and I've had them formatted with up to 16GB (two 8GB micro sdhc cards in onemsproduo adapter card) working on the psp after the usual formatting and such. (I only have 2 2GB and 2 8GB SDHC cards, so I ended up rearranging them later, but the point is it worked :D )

so I can confirm up to 16GB on my PSP-1001.

Guys, the psp's can take a 32 GB memory card. But once you format it, the memory becomes 29 GB. I own a psp 3004 and psp 1000. I took my memory card and tried in the 1000 and it worked fine. Speed seem's alright. MY bro got psp 2000 and a junky 4 memory card. I hacked all three of them cause it's easy. I use 6.20 PRO-B CFW on them. I copied all my psp game tapes onto my 3004. I still got 17 GB left and it now has 28 games.


*added, also I heard you can get 64 GB on a psp. But to do this you need two 32 GB memory cards and the adapter. It's on ebay. The first link I gave before, that seller got them. Just ask him.

32GB is the most the PSP will recognize.
