Its going on two years since they announced they are beginning work on the emulator. We can only wait and hope. Its home brew like this that gets me really excited to own a 3.55 machine. Man I will kiss their buts for finishing this

The possibility to play N64 on PS3 is a huge draw for me, I have been um'ing and ah'ing over everdrives and 64drives etc for nearly 3 years... I have a DR-V64 + expanded memory but its just not the same... I cant justify buying another £100+ device just to play N64, but a free emulator: I would definitely show my gratitude and donate to emulatemii.
Also the possibility to play hacked roms (GOLDENEYE:X) and have texture packs (announced for wii.. so why not imagine it for PS3 :P) is astoundingly awesome. Netplay would be a bonus, but I would be happy with local mutli

might as well hang it up. to be honest, most of the games we want emulated the ps3 has remakes or newer versions of. ps3 has plenty of fps that > golden eye, THQ has newer wrestling games. of course we're still missing mario and zelda but we have to live with that, and play crash bandicoot and tomb raider or something.
same thing with yabause, it's never gonna get an update so we'll just have to settle with sega ages 2500 series...and that's only if you have a cobra usb to play the ps2 versions of the saturn games |

I have to admit, I've given up on this EVER becoming a reality. Purchasing a used N64 and the 5 or 6 titles I wanted wound up being pretty darn cheap. Besides, it's hard to beat playing on the original console with a first-party Nintendo controller. Would I love to see an N64 emulator that works? Heck, yeah. Do I expect to see one any time soon? No.
Pick up an N64 and an Everdrive 64 or something similar as well as an S-Video cable. You'll be set. |

I just recently went on an eBay bender and bought a heap of N64 games for peanuts (banjo kazooie & jet force Gemini for £4! Bargain!) I figured it's cheaper and quicker to buy the titles I want to play than buy a flash cart like everdrive64, or wait for this emu.
