Before I start, I am a long time lurker, have a problem which is frustrating the hell out of me so I thought I'd finally sign up and join the forum.

I was on Rogero 4.30 v2.03 before I decided to downgrade to 3.55, so I followed the method described by Rogero:

So I installed the downgrader PUP from the XMB, then I installed the Toggle QA pkg. No matter how many times I run Toggle QA, it just hangs on the black screen, I've literally tried it about 30 times.

I've tried going back to 3.55OFW and Rogero 3.55CFW but to no avail, it seems I need to flag the console. I've also tried going back to Rogero 4.30 CFW v2.03, but again I get errors.

If someone could help me out here I'd be forever in your debt, I'm at my wits end.

this has been happening to alot of users recently. have you tried via recovery? It happened to me going form rogero 4.30 v1.0 and the only way i could get out of that situation was to disconnect my power cord then reconnect, next step I done i got into recovery with the latest condorstrike recovery pkg. Not using the power button trick. I had rogero 3.55 v3.7 pup (renamed and in correct folders on external media) when i clicked on condorstrike recovery pkg in xmb it black screened and failed to take me to the 6 option menu and said my system could not be run properly please put blah blah blah can't forget the rest of message and press select and start. That is when i got out of that awfull situation. if you have a nor ps3 give it a go. and get back to me.

just run toggle qa and power down the console using switch down button. enter recovery menu(im guestting you know how to) and update using rogero 3.55 v3.7. veoury easy, no?
you can try rogero3.55 v3.7 from xmb, too (not sure if that works though).
anyway rogero v3.7 has lv1 patched so you will not brick your ps3.
just for curiosity why would you wanna remove rogero 4.3v2.03?

I've tried running the Condor Recovery pkg but it just black screens, just like the toggle QA.

Also, I've tried installing the following firmwares in both the XMB and recovery menu:

3.55 OFW
Rogero 4.30 v2.03
Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7

Nothing seems to work!

connect your bluray driver, if you already have it then check the ribbon.
after you done it run toggle qa and if you hear 3 beeps then you may proced normally

What a coincidence ortis, before I even seen your post I decided to swap the blu ray drive for another one I have laying around, and toggle QA worked first go! I am now back on 3.55.
