So if the most logical explanation is usually the right one, could we apply that to our own existence? Think about it for a second. Which of these two theories sounds more reasonable?


God, the all knowing and all powerful as he is, made Adam in his own image (why are we flawed in so many ways then?) and then after figuring out the dude is kinda lonely he took out his rib and made Eve... and now there are around 7.058.000.000 of us, all thanks to that one awesome set of balls (and ovaries, I won't discriminate).

It just happened by accident. The planet had the right distance from the sun, the right atmosphere and everything else required so life was born, maybe by itself or maybe something that fell down from space "triggered" it (yes, like in Prometheus but way less dramatic and with less buff white aliens and probably more space rocks with bacteries in them). It was a slow process (yes, religious people, it didn't magically happen in a minute) with it's ups and downs and now we're here.


I personally prefer to think it's a coincidence just because it's easier to believe. Why? There are too many gods (old and new), all omnipotent, omnipresent and other omni*, all claiming to be "the right one" untill they're simply replaced by others as time goes by and civilizations rise and fall, all while we do so many horrible things to each other in their name.

I havent touched this stuff in a lot of years (15+) but from my understanding, religion used to use sciences discoveries as a way to explain "Gods" work.
Some of histories greatest scientific achievements came from the church! Stuff that directly flew in the face of the word of God as written and changed by man.
Its not been until the last few decades that they have become enemies and its the extremist wings that are too blame for that!

It's not religion. It's politics disguised as religion. An atrocity is an atrocity no matter what label you put on it. Just like a killer will kill no matter the reason. If you take one reason from him to kill then he will find another. For example, if Christians followed the teachings of Jesus rather than George Bush then the world would be a more peaceful place. Likewise for terrorists who distort the Quran for their own political agenda. People in Ireland killed each other over the same Jesus. I wasn't there but it looked a whole lot more political. In America you can go to a Protestant and Catholic church on the same block in succession and nobody would even notice. And look at some people who give atheism a bad name such as Napolean, Alfred Kinsey, Pol Pot, Than Shwe, Kim Jong Il II, Jeffrey Dahmer, Mussolini, Mao Zedong, and Stalin. The one thing all those people have in common isn't religion. It's just that they're people. People who will do whatever they want in the name of whatever is convenient.

if you have faith, good on you. dont ever let anyone tell you that you are wrong but dont tell anyone else they are wrong unless you can 100% prove that you are correct

if god made us in his image, then he is humanoid right with reproductive organs/arms/legs etc? why? what does he need them for?
if a spiritual entity made us in his image we would be spiritual entities right?

humans are nothing but a replicating virus, destroying everything in order to expand and gain power over others, not very godly IMO and if we are in his image, are there more gods, replicating in the universe?

on this planet, we humans are the most violent/disrespectful form of life so if god created us then what the hell was he thinking, and if we are like him, how bad is he on a cosmic scale?

simply looking at the dna in everything on this planet shows me that we are not as unique as we like to think.

55% dna with a banana
70% with a slug
98% with a chimp

so basically, we could simply be a mutation or evolution if you will.

doctors can mix dna and create new mutations. does that make us gods? we can grow clones in test tubes and claim that we made them in our image after all.

to the guy who said god gave power to the USA, look at history. it was us assh*le British that went on an empire building fetish, and being the dicks we are, we invaded countries, destroying native cultures like terrorists and enslaving everyone and claimed others lands as our own. did/does god permit that? as it still happens today
