PSP-1001 connected to dualshock3 via usb (currently non-functional)
Okay, I dont know how useful this is to the community, or even if this is in the right place, but I have in front of me a usb mini b male to mini b male cable that i found inside of a lexmark x3650 printer with a broken paper tray, attached between the card reader and what i can only assume is the mainboard. There are also a couple of usb mini b male to usb type b female connectors as well. I'm not sure if it's a patch cable or what, but I've attached a few photos I apologize if theyre a bit on the large size, other than some slight cropping and a single resize(by 50%) each to make them a smaller filesize, I didn't want to edit the photos too much so you could see that they weren't photoshopped in any way. As stated in the thread title it's currently non-functional, but could a homebrew application/plugin be written that would allow communication through this cable to control the psp or does one already exist? I fully acknowledge the selfish nature of this question, but at the same time I hope that it could inspire some ideas in the homebrew community and possbly breathe some new life into it. ![]() P.S.: If these cables are common, then i apologise for wasting people's time ^^; |

Wouldn't the ps3 remote need power? I never heard of this before. I don't think the USB on the psp got enough power to make the remote work. What happen when you plugged it in and turned the psp on? Did the remote come on for a second?
