Sure, as long you downgrade with a hardware flasher e.g E3 Flasher first, since it's a NOR chip PS3 and E3Flasher is solderless or; have someone do it for you if you can't yourself.

Yes. The CECHK should have a DIA-002 motherboard which is a NOR.

If it is on 3.55 or lower firmware, go to the tortuga forum thread for Rogero 4.30 v2.03 and follow the guide.

If it is on 3.56 - 4.31 OFW, it can be downgraded via a hardware flasher such as E3 Nor Flasher, Progskeet 1.1 etc. A F/SM Jig will also be needed. You could attempt this yourself or pay someone with experience to do it for you. Currently no simple software solution has been released.

No you won't have to downgrade if already on 3.55.
