Hi Everyone Looking For Some Help
Hi All
I'm Graham from Scotland and don't have much knowledge of the PS3 as you can probably see. I'm new too this and got confused by looking at loads of different threads on how to downgrade, can this model be downgraded to 3.55. My PS3 is a slimline CECH-2503B, Date Code 0D currently running 4.31. Any help would be much appreciated ![]() Merry Xmas. Last edited by The_Goose_0; 12-15-2012 at 09:39 AM. |

According to this:
http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=41685 and this: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/SKU_Models ...you can. To know for sure, download this, >MINVERCHK< Instuctions: Put MinVerChk on a flsh drive as if it were an upgrade in the following folders: PS3>UPDATE>extracted file from the link above. Insert the stick into the PS3. Install the update from XMB.... this will fail and display the Firmware Base.

Did you rename it to PS3UPDAT.PUP and put it in the correct map (X:\PS3\UPDATE\) ?

2503A and 2503B with a date code of 0D can be downgraded to 3.55. I've downgraded one myself. It is date code 1A where some will have a min version of 3.56

I should have mentioned my PS3 is currently running 4.31 in Demo mode, would this be causing the problem, I have tried downgrading from the recovery menu.
