playerkp420 im not using esata does it count? on slim ps3 its no problem what about phats?
i will try clean them but my clip is ok because i flashed 2 slims today, the prob is on nor legs because like i said the process is very quick, in 1 min i got it flashed!! very very strange.

my dumps are not just bad they are horrible. no magic header or something else just FF's. they fail at flowrebuilder

i'm not ignoring you. player is giving you the best advice and he is the best to ask about the E3

dont worry about the esata it has no effect during the flashing / dumping stage.

its writing really fast as the clip is not on correctly.

like i say listen to player he will get you sorted

i wonder if it has somehow poped a slow blow resistor in the psu? but i would have thought the ps3 wouldnt power up rather than ylod.

it "might" be a coincidence that a ylod was about to happen. but that seems doubtfull aswell.

This means the clip is not making good contact. It is good you know your clip is ok.
I have downgraded PS3s just fine all day, then sometimes you get one that gives you trouble.
You then need to make sure your clip is modified like this. And that you have constant pressure on the clip to keep it secure. Check out this thread. I know it says its for error 10001100, but you are having the same problem. When you are getting closer to having the clip on good, but not good enough, you will get bad dumps and no error.

You don't need the eSata connected for flashing. You only need the hard drive when doing the FSM install.

But you need to get some valid dumps, before getting that far.

@playerkp420 since i got a new clip i always cut it. for pressure i use my fingers. i just got my finger burn (cind off ) on 25xx slim because of the nor position

Well, that is your problem. You need to use some very strong tape. I use duct tape on top of scotch tape. Put thumb on back side of mobo and use the bottom of my screwdriver to apply pressure, and put tape down around the clip good.

Then tape some foam or coins or something on top of the clip. Not too much that the mobo doesn't fit on the heat sinks good. I then put the metal casing and screws back together.

I usually get good connections first try. But like I said, some are stubborn. And there is no way holding it with your finger will work, with stubborn ones.

Hello everyone .... I have a problem with the procedure of fast dualboot on a DIA002 ... following the ultimate guide when I put the switch 01000000, a black screen appears on the screen instead I should have "connect the controller and so on." with no HD activity
when I put the switch 00000000 I get the known writing on the screen.
I soldered all the cables I think pretty well and i have a valid dump 3.55.... how can I fix it? thanks

@playerkp420 have you had a look at it?

there is a large section that is different from the first dump that was verified.

i see you tried flashing different patched flashes to the E3 so it might be that which is creating the differences including the threemusketeers patch.

i havent seen this patch before can you p/m me the link to the three musketeers patch.

at this stage i would suggest flashing the origional dump back to the ps3 twice to help ensure it flashes every segment of the nor chip.
then do a freash dump

send that to the dumpcheck e-mail and put
att baileys/player ref e3 down & black screen thread
