verifying data incredibly slow!

just updated to newest MM
tried playing silent hill collection... MM sat at the verifying data screen for 15minutes before i shut it off... i think it may have been working because there was a beep about 9minutes in

however this is ridiculous! i've never had this problem with MM before, anyone else experience it with any games? or is there a way i can shut it off

Yeah I get it with the all star game, not tried silent hill though. That's the only one I have that same issue on.

There's an option within multiMAN in the XXMB settings column to disable "Verifying Data". Same thing if you don't care for the USB Bus option.

Data Verification is there so it checks the proper Folder Structure, if Eboot.bin is present, if there are any split files. ETC. USB Bus it if someone is using more then one Ext HDD
