Rco modding probz....!!! - PS3Hax Network

hey guys i need a bit of help...am trying to modify some rco files from rogero 4.21cfw and for some reason when i put the files back into dev_flash after modification,my mod files aint showing up on xmb am using rcomage-v1.1.0_repack.

did sony also block rco moding cause no matter what i do it wont work and i have done this b4 on 3.55...and also i have also investigated rebug 4.21cfw and it seems they have modded their rcos and all work..

This is driving me crazy cause i have a 3.55 pup with my rco mod and works fine,so somthing is deffinately up here.

Do you use dev_flash before trying to put the rco files back?

NO I TOOK THE RCO FROM ROGERO 4.21CFW.WHICH IS ALSO INSTALLED ON MY PS3 AND MOD THEM.THEN PUT THEM BACK INTO MY PS3 FOR TESTING,AND IF IT WORKS I THEN REPACK THE PUP WITH ALL MY MODDED FILES BUT I CANT GET ANY 4.21/4.30 FILES TO WORK I THINK SONY IS UP TO SOMETHING SERIOUS HERE...CAUSE WHEN I UNPACK THE RCOS BACK MY MODS ARE THERE BUT DONT EVEN SHOW UP AND WHATS STRANGE IT DOESNT EVEN SOFT BRICK MY PS3,ITS LIKE THESE LETEST OFWS HAS SOME KIND OF ROOTKIT IN THEM TO REVERT ANY MODIFICATION WAT SO EVER...MIGHT BE WRONG THO...

No am not am trying to change the names of the xmb...eg music into my music,video into my movies etc...which i have dont when am on 3.55..now its not working anymore!!

Did you turn write access on? If not then that's why. Also when you turn it on you put the files to dev blind not dev flash.
