HELP!! PS3 Slim won't turn off!!!
My PS3 Slim won't turn off when I shut down via XMB it'll shut down but all of a sudden it'll come back on I have to pull the power cord. I can't get to the recovery menu and can't put it in FSM. I've tested out another power supply and power eject board with another one from a working unit but still same issue. Everything runs fine when on its just this PS3 just turns back on almost as though there's a short somewhere but unsure where to look for it.
If anyone can help would be greatly appreciated |

try Condor Updater to go into recovery, and I could make an app that will turn it off for you, even though I think multiman has that option aswell.

Do you have remote play enabled?
Go to settings and disable any remote power on settings, PS3 uses the same Wake On LAN call as most devices, and some routers/switches incorrectly send this call to devices accidentally. Hope this helps :-) |

Ever been taken apart? Could have mangled the power/eject ribbon. That or the sensor that detects a game being inserted into the bd drive could be f*ed up. Both of those things would give you these symptoms. Good luck

I had a customer bring me a ps3 with this problem ... I couldent figure it out and he wound up selling me the system for parts... but afterwards I thought to myself it could have been a problem with the 4pin connector wire that goes from the motherboard to the psu... worth taking a stab at...
