Weird issue because I have CFW 4.30 and Stealth multiman and I'm not banned and I log into psn everyday for hours. Also, I only play my legit game online (GT5) and played once Dead Island online for 30 minutes and Black Ops 2 for 1 hour (I got Server timed out error so i gave up the bo2 online on ps3 and played on pc). I've got FarCry 3 Duplex release and no problems. Played that while in psn. I'm from Portugal.

P.S- In my country is legal to download everything you want IF you don't sell it. If you download with the objective of personal use, then you can hack, download, etc at will :D

It's legal to hack all devices, etc.

I use PSN all the time and I haven't been banned, but I don't cheat online, I don't greif people, I don't talk **** to them, I don't use MM (or any homebrew) when I'm online.

If you want to have CFW and go online don't be an idiot, like people have mentioned going online with a cfw machine itself can be a red flag no need to do a bunch of other stuff
to warrant extra attention from Sony.

Maybe they cant see yet the CFW but they can see if you have Homebrew, History file and "maybe" playload from multiman

It's not legal in any country including yours(portugal) even for personal use. It would make you a PIRATE as any stuff that you obtain for free(games/Music/movies(is likely copyrighted), it not your right to get it for free just cos you can download it.

In the guy's defense, although he seems to be a bit uh, challenged shall we say, CFW is frowned upon in general. Any CFW user is going to have a bad name and negative stigma on their heads simply because CFW is NOT one of the PS3s intended features.

It doesn't matter what you're doing, whether it be using backup managers to save digital copies of games you own, or listening to music, validating your PSN content etc. Deviation from what a majority does (using the PS3 without any modifications) is going to be seen as wrong simply because you are doing something you shouldn't be able to normally.

So yeah, everyone on CFW is basically in the same boat in terms of reputation to the eyes of the majority (Sony). But that's a decision we made for ourselves. Simple as that.

I tell you. It came directly in the news from the government. You can download everything from the web as long as you don't sell it (If I download a DVD and go sell it to others it's a crime, but if i download it and keep it for me it's legal because there's no law in portugal that says that you can't download copyrighted material :D)

Keep in mind that theres limits. No one can hack things (banks, etc) but if you buy a console your free to hack it because you own the hardware, not sony or other makers

Portugal is very permissive on internet terms. The police came to my house because of a robbery, and they said that they download things at home (games, music, etc ) xD
