They probaly found out u were using DLCs that wasnt bought on the PSN or by using Codes, thats kinda suspicious. Not sayin you got banned cause of that maiby you would still be banned even if you didnt use those DLC, no one will ever know. If i connected to PSN i would avoid using DLC that i did not buy.

Knowing what people where using, playing when they got banned can help imo. If i have lets say 80% (Random Number) chance of being banned on CFW, if i can drop down % a few by avoiding somethings that is not recommended to do when connected to PSN i just won't do them. But the Ban can also be totally random and doesn't have to do anything with what i stated above... but not knowing anything, what would you do ?

I have no idea if I have just been lucky or not, but I have two ps3's and my main account has plus on psn and I also regularly purchase content from the store on my ofw system so maybe this is why they have allowed me to remain. I also have not played BO2, but did mistakenly think that I could play zombies and when I tried within a few minutes I was diconnected from the server as were many here so, I assume they have my info and know I am on cfw.

NOOB QUESTION: If I log onto PSN store to purchase dlc or download game updates, would that flag my system? Basically, If I don't play any games online do I still get banned.

I read this and compared it to what Sony claims. The list of things you can be banned for is not limited to playing on CFW. Sony also will ban for obscene language and a multitude of other ridiculous things. Bottom line Sony can ban you for no reason, if they so choose. You do not mean anything to them. You are just another face in the crowd.

I got banned last night and the only thing i have ever done is buy content from PSN as I don't like gaming online truth be told. The way I look at it is they lsot money as I just dropped $250 on PSN only to get banned two days later so I now use reactPSN and get all my content for free.

Now i Cant to conect then if i create another acount i cant to back to my original account and i will lose all i buy.

That's why i linked twice in the same article to TOS site. To the ones who did not read it yet.
I also stated on the article that they can create ANY excuse to ban you ass and you can't do anything.

I will quote what i said:

Long story short doesnt's matter if you choose legit or no legit *path* because they can come up with any excuse but so far im on OFW (Legit path) and i have no problems (since i registered almost 3 years ago) so in some point on their network, they OWN you ergo you are a simple digit on their bank account. That's not new. (I don't have PLUS only retail games and i don't purchase on PSN).


I used the *CFW* term because is the most abused (also like i said) 3 times per day on a thread and it's probably the only the way to reach new ones on this to understand better with a short message for them.
The ones who being here long enough already know what's this about and knows the risks and about TOS erratic behaviour.

@KopKaasDamp You can use CFW = homebrews, emus, apps, etc and being a pirate or just use brew's and not use backups, is a thin line and you are generalizing. If you can't tell the difference being on a PS3 Hack site...
