I have been coding on and off for a while now, but never long enough to find something really interesting. Ive never done a big project, or worked with another coder. Haven't even met another one except for the Internet. I guess what I'm getting at is I want to work with other people on a project. Just don't know what or if any body else would want to. Anybody feel like trying to make a homebrew?

You figure out how duplex and propjoe crack the DLC and PSN titles, or write a app similar to that of theres that im sure they are using, I will glady join a small team ^_^ I have been trying to figure out how there doing it for a few months now. I ruled out hex editing, my main guess now is some kinda edat resigner/unlocker tool

Are you talking about the dlc unlockers, or actual dlc and psn titles.

Excuse my ignorance of edats. So I'm gathering edats are what unlocks dlc features; you're wanting to decrypt, modify, then re-encrypt? Did ac3 and need for speed come with dlc on the disc? I thought edats only came with psn content?

Edats do come with dlc and psn titles. You can use react to make raps to reactivate them, or if you can decrypt, modify, re-encyrpt the edat. Then there is no need for all the work of react and tracking down rif files. The edat is what keeps it locked from just working without activation.

And yes thats exactly what I wanna do ^_^ I wanna start another team that does what propjoe and duplex, and extrimall do ^_^

Sounds interesting. My first guess would be to use the tools @snowydew and @KDSBest to decrypt, run through hex editor to see what's inside. Also for the dlc unlockers released recently, say make a copy of the original edat, run the pkg, copy updated edat to see what's modified from the original. Maybe get someone to upload them. I'm willing to try, just don't have the files.

I compared ac3 edats for Benedict Arnold dlc and original, also did that with the borderlands 2 dlc and the fix recently released. Its never same string changed into the fixed edats. There all different. Which made me think that they are using a tool not released to public to do do.
