Change thread creation protocol.

You always getting upset or something about users making threads about the same thing. As much as it is annoying it also ruins the the gathering of information, different threads of the same issue will have different situations and different solutions. It would be best to get the site admin or whom ever to change how threads are made. When creating a new thread, perform a search first by using the argument to force the user to read what other threads are out there(not like how it is done now the search should be put on a new page) and then allow for a proper post button to be pushed which is then validated by someone. This sure will allow for a cleaner forum. Hope this will be taken into consideration, because finding stuff on this site can be a real 13itch.

new members wanting answers to their "urgent questions" rarely search first.
no amount of protocol adaptation will change that

hell, many cant even post in the correct section. i.e. post a question in the tutorial section or in a "hot topic" to be seen quicker.

having new threads hidden until approved (like in the tutorial section) would only make matters worse as they would post the thread multiple times, leaving a moderation queue before spamming existing threads with offtopic questions

When a thread is created there is an automatic search that looks to see if there is anything similar. Nobody ever takes the time to read through them

But the problem is when some noob makes a thread they don't read nothing and never search they don't realise the same question idea has been answered twice already

*le Sigh* another pointless thread, I bet this person will not even sign in again after this. Some of the noob threads that are posted you never see them again after someone tells them what to do or tells them off. >_< there should be a account clean up
************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
Also there should be a post limit before one is able to download stuff from here, like propjoe does now. If new users try to boost there post in a matter of seconds just to get the downloads then should be banned.

That's the ones i call *hit and run* because they use the account for 2 stupid questions and then they bail out.

Doing what the OP suggested is what i said in another thread here, if they fail to see the obvious plus some automated system to keep *things in order* or *standby* just to check that he is not posting utter **** is useless and will affect many users that has nothing to with that.

@japsander thanks for a proper response. You could allow for one thread to be requested as a time to get rid of multiple posts and by changing the way the search is done will help, force them to view the results (Post thread --> Search results-->confirm post request). So when they click post it will search and take you to the next page.

@hellsing9 the "?" was a typo. I was just trying to help. LOL and this was meant for you after I read the PSN baning story.

Anyway if this thread is useless, like some users say remove it.

I'm confused what "?" i don't get it.
Also i'm not bashing you, i embrace the idea but if you search on this section you will find two threads that have some similarities.

I don't mind on have some changes here but Pirate is the one in charge of this ship so i can't do anything. I'm sure he will read it but im against because i was on boards that have automated *functions* for trash/lock or redirect the user to another section to the new user to see certain thread and have to read it to gain the privilege of create their own threads.

Also i saw automated thread lockdown and some boards that use like a some *anti flood* protection that you need to wait almost 2 minutes or more until you can edit your *own post* or in fact you create a thread and that thread must be seen and approved by someone in staff otherwise that thread will not get visible to anyone.
I have to say it's a pain the arse.

I like your idea but i hate semi automatic or fully automatic systems that people often think that will solve certain issues when it's the contrary.
Like the spambots, we have to *kill* them when some post gets reported or when we spot them on sight.
