Hello guys,

I might have a problem. I am on rebug 4.21.1 and am experiencing some serious lag problems. These problems occur with FIFA 13, AC 3 and also far cry 3 ( I think this is quiet normal) but fifa shouldn't lag, or should it?


A few months ago I made a thread when AC 3 was lagging, but now the problem is expanding.

Hope someone can help me.

PS : maybe it has something to do with the debug menu (fake save)

Ps3 frame rate is ****, i don't have cfw at the moment cuz im on ofw, but i have serious lags on fallout 3, and fifa 12 lags too, but not in the gameplay, only at the menus and in the start when says caching user created thing sometimes it freezes completely on that part and only after 7/8 seconds the player starts to move again, i'm talking in the part that you are in the practice mode, or in other words when you press start on the main menu.
Farcry it's very normal too lag, i mean sometimes when in game you only get 14/15 fps.

But it's still not normal as I used to play this games on another PS3 and they went fine. I don't think Fifa 13 is supposed to be lagging at the menu ( normal field play framerate -> only in menu). The ps3 gamedevs have become sh*tty last time.

They programing first for the xbox360 then they make bad converts to the ps3, i mean the majority of the games on the ps3 don't make use of the 7 spu only the main cpu, so the graphics in the multiplatform games are worst than the xbox 360 version.

I would expect games to be fully tested/working when released on the market.

I am not sure i doubt it is rebug but i was on Black ops II round 33 on ZOMBIES last night= laaaag out for about 2 min became slow motion until i knew it was coming = freeze/locked up.. This was the firs time also patch new v104 . This did not happen with v102 from internal .Seems it could have happened because of frame rate got real low from all the zombies.

+ I was throwing many monkey bombs. I had the game freeze straight up before ,but not lagggg like this "i am on REX 421" This happened before on other games, but not REX 421 with a mod menu ..I hope this is not a ps3 issue mine is like new still but have used it allot in the past .I have been much higher in rounds buy was playing from internal =no lagg..

Personally i think it is 3ARC lame patches + buggy game atm..

I do not understand how they can let this happen.

These games should be designed to run on the PS3 and designed in such a way that there is no lag... It is a PS3, not upgradeable - if it lags there is nothing you can do!

Do they really expect us to pay for games which do not run properly.
A console should not lag when playing any games which have officially been released for / on it! They are making people pay for something which does not work properly and no matter what the users do, will never run properly.

How can this be justified!? Do they use some excuse along the line of them only being able to reduce the graphics to a point and rather have the game available, but lagging than not at all?

I think they are just lazy and care about the money more than anything. Majority of people would more than likely not notice or care. Big rip off as far as I am concerned.

I found many more users having the same problems on OFW (FIFA 13, and the rest). Maybe it's harddrive related or maybe you're right @ZOMBIEKILLAH . Can't understand they could sell such under-developed games at such high prices. Unbelievable. They used to be better than that.

I agree with @PsyCLown that it is just ruthless. In the beginning of "the ps3-era" games would run beautifully well. Nowadays, some games with not very different graphics would become unplayable. It's just not right, and this is not what we would expect from these high--end-experienced developers.

It is ridiculous @Hannibal1471 all the hype before release then a let down. That is why some games like Black ops had almost 13 patches = ridiculous. I am seriously tired of getting a 60% game & having to buy DLC that should be included with DISC + games that have to have 20 patches to fix there problems cause they can not fix the game proper before release date

I have has issues with hard drive from external it has a stupid auto sleep power save IDK ?.When connected to my PS3 it will shut off even when i have a game loaded after a hour or 2 ! That is so annoying it is ridiculous "BEWARE" Now i have to sift through a million externals to avoid this + find a hard drive with a power switch .

They are being really stupid l8ly, selling hard drives with no power on/off button + power save auto shut off .Do not just buy a external without checking & make sure this power save feature does not exist before buying = It will shut off when your playing a game from external & the next level will not load or what ever your playing .In my case it was MW3 Spec ops ,when i finally quit game i got black screen & stupid hard drive was off .So i copied my game to the powered docking station & never happened again.

Do not buy this drive CLICK=> Seagate Expansion CLICK=> Does not wake up So annoying it shuts off by its self when connected to my slim & i have to unplug it by the power wire not good to do .I called about this & they did not explain why this was happening .It took me 3 days to copy 2Tb worth of data = i was so pissed by this i never use the drive now & has 200+ PS3 games on it

Every game should have a FPS on/off feature so you can see how bad the game really is

My theory is the wrong choice in external hard drives can cause issues also ..
