PS3 gets green light after putting the E3 linker. No video signal, no HDD activity.

Hello, first I put the E3 with the clip, and handed me what I write in the title of the thread, so I thought it was because of the poor clip. E3 Linker soldered to the motherboard, and I got the same result. Remove all the wires, solded again, and keep it the same.

It's a PS3 Slim 120GB, DYN-001 board. I turn on the console and is as I say, without sending video signal and no HD activity. The power button only works after several seconds. The E3 is well connected, tristate point solded and A - B cutted and welded the corresponding point of the linker to A.

I've got several dumps, all right and tested with varios programs, and pretending to fix it, I used FLASH FUN mode without problem or error, but always with the console "dead". I have not tried to downgrade or anything, simply put the E3 and stay in this state. The PS· IS NOT BRIKED, because when the e3 is completely disconnected from the motherboard, the console start up well, as before the e3 was installed.

Please help. All I want it's dual boot.

PD: Sorry for my english, im spanish. And sorry if this is a wrong subforum.

Thanks, I tried that, but whitout succes, because not even briked, should be something of E3 itself.

I have another question. Is it possible to dual boot with samsung update.

There must be something not connected correctly. If you uninstall the flasher and it boots normal.

If the heat sinks aren't making good contact to the GPU and CPU, it will do that. Maybe there is something you are doing when the flasher is installed, stopping them from seating properly?

The plate closes properly. This last solder cost me nearly two days, because I was putting all the wires correctly, to can cover the motherboard with no problem.

And the E3 working properly, reads an writes the NOR without problem, but it left the console in that state.

I used this:

Maybe the metal plate is touching some solder?

It has to be something like that. Definitely not a brick if it works without the flasher.

Have you tried not using the metal plate? Do it like this:

First of all, thanks for your interest.

About what you say above, no, I have not tried to put the two plates and, although I have all the wires and solder aisalnte covered with tape, I'll try and then tell you.

I will also try this:

NOR Desoldering tristate
Desoldering point A, and connect with B

EDIT: HELLO! Y think i find the problem. Desoldering triste and uniting again A with B boots OK! But I need to cut the track for the dual boot... I assume then that the problem is in the E3 flasher or its configuration?

Most tests:

A - B reconected. Tristate point solded to E3 = black screen.

A - B cutted (A not solded to E3). Tristate point solded to E3 = black screen.

A -B Cutted. A solded to E3. Tristate not solded. = black screen.

I think the A - B step is the problem. There is no other way to dual boot?

Have you cut the trace between A and B?

Edit - I mean good enough?

Also if you have the tristate wire soldered to SBE, then you have to have switch 1 down for normal operation. Switch 1 up will halt the nor.

SBE >>>>> Tristate
SBCE>>>>> Point A - with trace cut between A and B
